I went into this location to look at some golf clubs. I was interested in hitting some irons in their simulator to figure out what I wanted. I hit several and ended up deciding I liked the Taylormade M4 irons. Unfortunately Taylormade no longer makes the irons but luckily they had some in store... with a few problems. The main issue with this product was that they did not have any grips on the clubs, which come standard on brand new clubs. The other problem was that a club or two was missing from this set. I talked with the golf associate and he said he would ask his manager about the price of these clubs as he didn’t know if they were $599.00 or $699.00. There were also two non-matching different model clubs he said had to be sold with the model that I actually wanted. When he went and got his manager the manager didn’t even bother coming to speak with me about the clubs and walked away after speaking with the golf sales associate. The sales associate came back and said that the clubs would be $599.00 because the two clubs I had to buy that didn’t match were worth more, but they would give me a 10% discount on grips. So ultimately they want me to pay full price for a damaged and incomplete product and on top of that pay for grips to make the product useable. I told the golf employee I thought that was a terrible deal and left the store. Later when I got home I found the same set on Amazon for $550.00, brand new, with grips, and as a complete set. I called the store to see if it would be possible to reduce the price as obviously their set was overpriced by a decent margin. The golf employee said he would talk to his manager then call me back. I never got a call back. I decided to take my business to Callaway pre-owned and found a new set still in the wrapping for hundreds less than Dick’s with more clubs and they all matched. I won’t be purchasing more than balls and golf tees from Dick’s in the future as clearly instead of finding a way to help me and make a sale they would rather try to screw someone who might not know better into buying those clubs at the...
Read moreThis place is a OK Dicks Sporting Goods. Dont expect alot of help when you go into the place. I was into purchessing a new bike and took 20min before he came out of the back, asked him some question and I felt like he was giving me the cold shoulder, he left and when he didnt come back I just walked around and saw him chit chatting with another coworker in the Hunting side of the store. Safe to say I didnt buy my bike there, I bought it at HIGH GEAR in Prescott better service there. There manager Daniel said he would talk to the guy but I he really didnt see to concered with the matter. That was trip number 1. Second trip needed some Golf stuff..........well the Golf Department is a JOKE lets say, they have hardley no product there, like 3 name brands. So when you go into the place you have 3 choices to choose from out of 12 big name brands, weak sauce indeed. Dont do any Club work there. Dont know why they have anyone working in that department. Ive seen other Dicks Store in other states and they are far better with service and experience. This one they need to re do the store, cause this one is a fail. Word to the wise if you need anything from this store, please go to Mom and Pop Stores where the will serve you better. Nobody really cares at this Store is what I got off of it, but...
Read moreImagine this, you walk into the shoe department and find an employee in uniform hunched over a stack of shoe boxes while they slowly sort them. “Excuse me.”, you say, “My son has grown out of his shoes and we aren’t sure what size he is. Do you have one of those foot measurer thingys or any way to figure out what size he is today?” The employee is staring at you the entire time, but suddenly her face goes completely blank and she slowly says, “Um… yeah….. I have no idea.” And then just continues staring blankly, mouth open, no smile. She literally looked at me like I had just ordered a Big Mac and fries. An EMPLOYEE, holding SHOES in the SHOE department. It was one of the most AWKWARD, unhelpful, confusing, irritating experiences I’ve ever had with a working staff member. Since when did employees lose the ability or training to say, “I’m not quite sure, but let me find the answer to that for you.” We were left to wander the shoe aisles, with another poor lost soul, while my son had to try on 4 different sizes of shoes. Awful experience. This isn’t rocket science, help...
