PC Doctor — Local services in Redmond

Service is everything. Not just doing what you said you would do, but being open to the possibilities of what is there that can be done. Being open and willing to see other options to solve a problem. That is what I experienced with PC Doctor. I took my little RCA Tablet to them because the batter was not charging. The charger port had some how become loose. I received a call within the hour indicating that they would not be able to fix it as they could not obtain the replacement part.

So I drove back to get my little RCA Tablet. August was very kind in describing to me what he had encountered. And his description came with a big "BUT WAIT". But wait? I asked. He said, did you know that your RCA Tablet has a mini usb port and your tablet will charge from there. "I did not know that. You just made my day! Week! Month!

That little extra observation August made, made a huge difference for me. And it is the little things that can make the biggest differences. Thank you August for your willingness to be observant and open to...

I ran out of troubleshooting resources for a home-built computer that stopped booting after several years of reliable service, so I called PC Doctor to see if they could run some diagnostics and swap various "known good" components out to isolate the culprit.

I dropped off my computer on a Sunday morning, and 15 minutes later I got a phone call letting me know they found the problem (turns out the brand new replacement video card I had purchased elsewhere, as an early attempt at troubleshooting the problem myself, was broken!). Luckily they called me before I even had time to drive out of town. I reside about an hour's drive away from PC Doctor, so their prompt service was appreciated.

Paul was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and treated me with respect - neither talking down to nor above me.

Later that afternoon, I ordered another replacement video card online, which of course worked just fine a few days later, after I received and installed it. I'm glad to have my computer working again.

Now I know why this store is rated 4.5 stars out of 51 reviews! These guys are just awesome! I always thought that the PC Repair was a scam (based on my prior experiences) until I visited this store to repair my personal laptop. These guys are authentic! I have to mention the person who helped me with great care - Achilles. He is knowledgeable, helpful, patient, customer-friendly and trustworthy. My laptop crashed all of a sudden and I had an exam in two days, Achilles helped me immediately by handing me out the hard drive as a portable storage device like an USB. I was able to get the all crucial data and prepare for my exam! He is a lifesaver. He understood the time-sensitive situation and acted upon it. I would like to really appreciate him for this help! And no, neither him nor the store asked me to write this review.
