Customer service is very poor. Sales floor is desolate of associates, and the ones already there do not bother to ask if you need help.
One particular fellow, heavy set man wearing one of the darker shirts (not red) displayed the utmost unwelcoming, rude tone towards me. I presented a credit card that belongs to my father in order to pay. When he compared my ID and found that the first names were different, he firmly - as opposed to politely - shoved into my face the fact that, in his own words, "I cannot take this card". No polite request to present another form of payment, no polite way of phrasing his contention, and no apparent desire for my business.
When I returned the same day to file a complaint, my experience was no better. The customer service representative made me wait on the side for a good ten minutes for a manager - who never showed up - even though I had already waited in the checkout line. He then took it upon himself to simply jot down my email address, and did not tell me the man's name against whom I was complaining, even though he knew who it was. No formal report was filed, and the associate did not bother to come out from hiding to apologize. The customer service rep did not try to find him. Shortly thereafter, I receive an email from the customer service rep apologizing on behalf of the associate, explaining that the associate wished to "personally apologize", while carrying the obvious oxymoron of being an impersonal email not sent from the associate himself.
In short, I felt unwelcome, incriminated and disrespected. In accordance with my ethics, and as I strongly encourage others, do not shop at this branch where the narcissistic staff believes they are secure enough not to extend a shred of common courtesy to...

One tiny segue to the staff’s overall excellent service is worth mentioning here: Recently, I went into the store to buy a few office supplies. When my time came to pay, I requested to use my accumulated Staples dollar-reward points. But the sales cashier could not pull up my points from his register. The store was near closing time. So, I asked permission to leave the items behind with a note of my information and the promise to return the next day. Meantime, at home I signed in to my Staples account and fixed what needed done. The next day, I came back to the store and found that the items were returned to the store shelves! With the note attached to the items, any sales associate who returned the items could have called me on my mobile phone. This was an oversight on someone’s part. I retrieved the items and paid for them in full, with my accumulated dollar-reward...
Read moreI went here mainly for TSA precheck enrollment, but I needed a couple of things from there too. I didn’t know where the TSA section was, so I asked a fellow in the printing section. He pointed me to the back but he didn’t seem very friendly. My TSA appointment went super quick! I went there 10mins before my actual appt and I was done in about 5 mins, even before my actual appt time! After, I couldn’t find the thumbtacks so I asked another person from the printing section (not the initial guy) where they were, and he was very nice and knew exactly where they were located, as well as the gas duster cans. The cashier who rung me up was super kind too! I happened to mention I did the TSA enrollment and he asked if I received a store coupon for a $10 off $30; I said no, and he went and got one to apply to my purchases! So awesome—basically I got the thumbtacks for free! Thank you Staples in Redmond, WA for a great experience! I felt like it was...
