Great service, nice place, good beer! I went here "by accident" (read more): My friends and I were planning on hitting a Girl Scout Cookie and beer pairing at another place nearby. We got in and it was CROWDED to the walls. After 10 minutes, we'd barely been able to buy cookies from the girl scouts on site. We never got anywhere NEAR the bar! So we decided to go elsewhere and ended up at The Glass Die, where 2/3 of us had never been. Parking was fairly easy and I noticed they had a food truck parked out front! (We didn't eat, but it smelled amazing!) The parking lot was full, so I assumed that the bar would be, as well. It wasn't! There were only a couple of occupied tables! We were able to get immediately to the bar and even had time to sample a few draughts. The bartender was very nice and extremely patient, happy to answer any questions we had. We ordered and paid for our beers and sat down with one of the games they have to offer (Side Effects), expecting to only have this one round. The atmosphere was so great and we had so much fun playing that we stayed for 3-4 rounds (depending on who was driving) and had an absolute BLAST! I CANNOT recommend this place highly enough! I also cannot wait to go back with my husband, so we can enjoy a few beers and learn some new games before deciding to take the plunge and buy! My only "complaint": there were some people who looked like they were having an incredible time playing DnD, and our loud proclamations of, "Omg, we wanna play!" Didn't garner us an invite 😂

We popped in on a Thursday night while visiting from out of town and loved it so much we came back the next night! If you like board games and beer, this is absolutely heaven! It’s in an easy to get to area of town and everybody’s really nice and friendly! Whoever organized and laid out the board games library is so thoughtful! First of all they have probably 1000 games to choose from! And then they’re organized from left to right, with the first section 2 player games, the next three player games, and so on. They also have a section that is “outdoor friendly games”! They also have a board game shop that has a lot of really cool games, from dice games to board games! It’s not very big, but there was room for us each night. The first night we came about an hour and a half before close and there were about half the tables open. Friday night we did come with a reservation and it never got truly filled up but a comfortable amount of people. Their beer selection is amazing! And if you’re not sure what you would like you can roll two d20s and if you choose one of the drinks that correspond to the number you roll, you get a dollar off your beer! Rose was our bar tender both nights and she was so great!

From D&D and Catan, to Cards Against Humanity and checkers, The Glass Die is a place for everyone. This place is a gem. They've really nailed the concept of "board game pub." 100s of games free to play, 12 taps of craft beer including local releases plus cans, ciders, etc. The ambiance is cozy and comfortable and yet full of laughing, lively people enjoying games of all types and a brew. It wasn't the type of place where you feel like you have to be a particular niche of gamer, or even a gamer at all. I have a rule I want to suggest: Please buy a beer or other beverage each visit. A great place like this is not free to run and making sure to offer them patronage is one of the best things one could do to make sure they are here for a long time to come.

The bar is great and the board games are plentiful! Most people who go and play there are very friendly and welcoming.

But the bar suffers from bi-polar personalities. The owner himself is fantastic (really nice guy!), but one of the female bartenders can really ruin a great experience. A group of friends who've never been to The Glass Die and I had her this last Saturday. Wish I caught the name.

To start, we grabbed our reserved table and starting drinks from her. I ask for a mead flight, which I've been served before, to share with my party. "In all my four years of being here, we've NEVER served that!" she exclaims. Really? I must've imagined my previous memories with my friends here. She could've told me she just wasn't serving those right now, but instead I get lied too. Cool.

We sit and play games at our reserved table for a little while before getting hungry. We've got a good two hours left on the table, so we leave a game we want to play and our drinks there and scoot out for some food. We come back about thirty minutes later and everything is gone. The game, our drinks, everything. Clean table. Our reservation placard is there, but nothing else is. So we ask the bartender what's up. Apparently there was a rule where if we plan to leave for longer than twenty minutes, we must tell the bartender or she'll swipe everything from the table. She never told us this when we arrived to claim our table. So we ask for our unfinished drinks back. Nope! How about paying full price for some new ones? We'll pass, thanks. And the Sheriff of Nottingham? Oh, she didn't remember where she put it. We scanned the shelves again and couldn't find it. Wonderful.

In my prior experience here, the tables usually get checked on by the bartender every once in a while to see how everyone is and to take extra drink orders. Once is usually enough. The only time our bartender came to "check" on us was to drop another placard some thirty minutes out from our table's reservation being up to remind us when our table's reservation was up. And then another verbal warning some fifteen minutes out. I was surprised when I wasn't counted down for my last 30 seconds with the table. Combined with the previous behavior, I've never felt more unwelcome.

I like this bar, but not enough to come back after this. I strangely left feeling abused, and being...

If you want a truly unique date experience, take a chance on Glass Die. So what we have here is a brick and mortar location (a great one at that, dead center mid town), with tasty libations, and EVERY GAME EVER CREATED, every type of game, every version, every extra, bonus, power up and doodad as well (ok maybe not EVERY game, but north of 1200 certainly, so your never going to be bored (board, ha!) with your options). Board games, card games, dice games, role playing games, construction games, horror games, funny games, games for kids, adults, family, etc. It's truly an experience. A unique, awesome way to spend your evening. Even if you think that you aren't into games I guarantee there will be something there for you. Furthermore you can rent or buy said massive collection of games and play at their gaming tables with as many of your friends as your little heart desires. During my visit there were parties of more than 10 certainly and every patron in that place was having an incredible time. Lots of laughter and people having fun. It was fun, relaxed, and so unique. It was a blast. Last but not least: they serve mead. You read that right, mead. And it's just as amazing as you imagined when you were reading about medieval times...
