Most experiences at Christmas are best made with magical atmosphere. Based on the other reviews, we went with no expectations. However, if you observe what's happening here, there is indeed magical merriment being made...and it's free. The mini-alpine village welcomes with it's twinkling paths lined with lights and boughs of greenery over authentic wooden vendor booths. People are smiling amidst smells of good treats, vendor stalls, and beautifully and amazingly decorated Bulloch hall (entry is free!). Sure, the food may seem elevated in price to some. But given all the supreme effort put into establishing the atmosphere, and the small-business, local merchants working hard in the cold...to me I'm glad to be a patron to their mighty efforts. This is America, and we need more of what is happening here. It's awesome, yet a small family-like affair and was a pleasant surprise of our holiday week. We'll be back next year for sure. Congrats to them for putting on a great venue....
Read moreDrove up from Florida for holiday and discovered this piece of Xmas magic in Roswell . What a Disney like little German Christmas market/village! There’s 40 little wooden houses for vendors selling wonderful treats and Xmas stuff, plus a food court , plus a choo choo train for kids to ride in. Found a booth selling authentic German Lebkuchen,(German Gingerbread), homemade hot chocolate with roasted marshmallows..YUM. This was a bakery and chocolate shop so also selling famous European assorted chocolates and chocolate Bark to die for. You’ll find authentic German sausage and potato pancakes. Plenty of Christmas items for you, your family and friends. Great gift ideas. There’s a shuttle on the weekends which makes it easy park&ride. Get’s you in the Holiday mood and best of...
Read moreI was hopeful but not happy with this German market. The vendors were confusing because none of them were "Christmas " themed nor did they offer german merchandise. I was not happy to see that the bratwurst food vendor offered german mustard (instead it was Heinz ketchup & French's mustard). Whne I asked the cashier did they have spicey brown mustard for the brats she said no. Far from a german feel. I saw other food vendors there like Chinese food (noodles and veggies egg rolls) and a vendor for tacos and Mexican food. Did roswell not source out german food for this event? Just put anyone in there and hope everyone has a great time and doesn't notice? Thank goodness we didn't pay for parking ($20). We walked here. I won't be back. Roswell...
