I recently went to this store a few times this past weekend and it was a great experience. I was greeted by Ana, and she was so kind and helpful. I walked in and was immediately greeted with the wonderful smell of the store. There is a huge array of herbs and spices to choose from. I was interested in making a hair tea and a leave in conditioner and they had all of the leaves and seeds I needed.
At the store, I bought Fenugreek, Flaxseed, Hibiscus, vanilla chai leaves, green tea leaves, peppermint essential oil, and maybe one more type of leaves, and it was very affordable in my opinion. I remember looking at how much an ounce would cost for each item and I was happily surprised.
I'm starting to get interested in making my own hair products and this store was very useful and local to where I live to find quality herbs at a reasonable price.
I was also greeted by one of the co owners and she was very helpful in giving advice on finding what I needed and for giving information for helpful herbs for my project.
All in all, I am rating this store a 5/5 stars because of the great service, welcoming atmosphere, and overall kind energy. They also sell books, candles, bottles to hold your creations, and more. Plus they have tap pay.
One final thought, that I brought up to them, is that it would be cool if they sold shea butter there. However, when I brought it up, they said they used to but it would go bad before it could be sold so they stopped selling it. It would also be cool if they sold books on different creations you could make with the herbs especially for hair care related projects or ayurvedic creations.
Oh also there is a psychic there that offers services and they regularly hold classes for people on different topics. Both times I went there this weekend there I saw a psychic or heard about a class going on.
Oh and one more thing, there isn't much free parking near the store so keep that in mind! There are two free 15 minute parking spots and two to three 2 hour parking spots but everything else is paid parking except for during certain hours.
All in all, wonderful store and...
Read moreLovely, comfortable, well lit and clean little little shop in Salem. They have an absolutely fantastic selection of herbs, food stuffs, spices, barks, anything and everything to fill your home apothecary! The selection was wonderful, everything was well marked and easy to read, it’s not overpriced either. The woman that helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable, I did not catch her name but she had blonde hair. The store also has a arts and craft section with stamps and some other art supplies. A really fun little store to visit when you’re in Salem! It has a wonderful vibe, great, laid-back and kind, unlike some other stores in...
Read moreA beautiful shop with a wide selection of herbs at GREAT prices. Herbs are purchased in bulk by the ounce and measured by the customer themselves which helps speed up the process. It was my girlfriend's first time at an apothecary and she was in awe at all the possibilities. We especially liked the fact that they offer multiple types of clay and that the worker suggested using them in a bath. They made a few other very helpful, and welcomed suggestions which we ended up loving. The staff is very knowledgeable and approachable and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend for any other witches, or even crafters or chefs. I can't...
