Disappointing. No rates listed on website, which is fine. When we approached the carriage we were told $75 per couple for 20 minutes. Our group had 4 adults. We were charged for 2 couples. There was a sign hanging inside the carriage that said $75 for a couple and $35 for each additional person, which would have been a $5 difference. Not a huge difference but still a difference from what was stated. The ride was less than 20 minutes and most of it was spent sitting at red lights. I understandthat this can't be controlled by the operator, but i still expected to get at least the 20 minutes we paid for. The operator was not at all enthusiastic about the tour, spoke in a monotone voice after we asked to be given information on the area. A stark difference from a previous experience with a carriage tour of San Antonio. On a positive note, the horses are beautiful and appear well cared for. Otherwise not...
Read moreKristina (or with a C Christina) I’m not sure, was our driver and Flash was our horse. Flash looked over worked and you could see how hot he was. We got there about 8:15 and waited until about 8:50 to get on our carriage. We requested to ride alone, no preference on Cinderella or open top. There was a woman that was trying to get it sorted out and get everyone in a carriage they wanted as fast as possible she was doing an amazing job. When we got on our carriage Kristina wanted more riders and the woman told her we requested to go alone she turned around and told us that she wasn’t suppose to do that. The ride was about 20 mins and it’s 25.00 per person for 20 mins. We just went around a couple blocks. She did not tell us anything so don’t think this is a tour she simply just took us around the block. We enjoyed it because we like horse rides but I wish it was informational. We tipped her well for...
Read moreIt is unfortunate that ZERO stars are not an option..... because that is exactly the level of service that Lollypop Carriage provided. After prebooking and prepaying (with the owner of the company) for a carriage ride that had a very specific pickup time and specific pickup location, no carriage was waiting or even showed up. When trying to call the main number 50+ times over the next 20 minutes, only a busy signal could be had. No calls from this company to tell us that the carriage would be delayed or cancelled... we were just left on a street corner waiting for a carriage that never showed. The next morning I spoke with the owner, again, ( their phone was no longer busy) and she said she remembered taking my reservation but she forgot to schedule it with a driver. My recommendation is to avoid Lollypop Carriage and try...
