Rough customer experience inconsistent with the low-key Faherty beach brand vibes. I have shopped Faherty brand for years. Most of my closet is Faherty at this point. Usually go to the UTC or One Paseo locations (or Venice while I am up on Abbot Kinney) but figured I would pop in the new beautiful La Jolla location. Usually love Faherty and don’t have to write negative reviews, but this time hit different…

Picked up several items, went to check out, and asked for the military discount. In five years, never has been an issue, but once I asked that simple question, the entire experience shifted negatively. The salesman said in a very demeaning tone - “oh, Faherty doesn’t do military discounts.”

I responded with the fact that I shop at Faherty for years and this is the first time they have never honored/offered it. I relayed I had bought my Tried and True shirt a couple of months before at another location and they were more than happy to honor it.

In a sneering tone he retorted, “oh well it’s recently changed and nobody should be doing it anymore.”

This was happening while he was folding clothes at the other end of the counter and nearly shouting this across the store as I caught glances from other customers. So not only was his attitude demeaning, but to really double down negatively and loudly, was not appreciated.

I didn’t retort, quietly paid full price, and went to another Faherty location who was kind enough to apply a military discount.

Based on how much I generally love Faherty and how often I refer my friends to the brand-I was quite disappointed in the entire experience.

Came here on a Friday morning on Labor Day weekend and had the worst attitude we've ever had in any store. Liam was our representative and he was visibly annoyed, rolling his eyes when we asked for sizes, socks for shoes etc. while I understand that we asked for things, it's what the store is there for. He was terribly unpleasant to deal with. We ended up liking 5 pieces around $228 each, ready to spend $1k and we ended up ordering online 3 pieces and bought in store for $400ish (wanted the size perfect). Worst...

Absolutely love this brand and Elena and her staff are incredibly helpful. I've purchased multiple jeans and shorts and they fit like a glove and never lose their shape. The store is beautiful and has a lot of options for everyone -- ...
