Green Fresh Florals + Plants — Local services in San Diego

I've been to GFF a few times, just browsing, but that was when I wasn't as "knowledgeable" about plants... long story short, I never should have gone back in last week (For my wallet's sake), but I'm soo happy I did! It's literally 6-7 blocks from where I've lived since 2009... I'm going to have to pay better attention from now on. In general. lol.

They have SUPERB quality plants; no pests, no sickly leaves, etc. A smaller size 4" pot (I think) is only $8, and from there you literally are paying for quality. What I saw, you can pay anywhere from $8, 15, 25 for a GREAT size and quality plant. It's so worth it, especially considering the species you can't find everywhere all the time.

Plant selections at big box stores, chains, grocery, etc. all vary seasonally. That's true anywhere, but GFF seems like they have a pretty steady selection of all the standards. Plus, new hybrids and discoveries. I mean, sometimes ya just need a syngonium 'white butterfly', or a neon hederaceum philodendron? Or maybe, a 'lemon-lime' maranta leuconeura? No? Well, damn it, I do. My house needs to be an urban oasis! This is bad...!

Something else, also cool... If there's a species you want to try your hand at growing, but never attempted to, they sell $2-5 cuttings, that are already rooted in vials of water. I love this idea. NOWHERE else I've seen has that option. For a couple $$ extra you can buy the glass chemistry tube it was rooted in, too.

I was incredibly happy with the beautiful floral arrangement Green Fresh Florals put together for my father’s burial. I called from Denver where I live and spoke with one of their associates on the phone to order the arrangement, I’d hoped for lilacs as they were my fathers favorite, but unfortunately they were out of season and unavailable. When I arrived to pick up the arrangement I’d order, she remembered me and my order and let me know they’d just gotten lilacs in that day.
