Valerie's Nail Bar — Local services in San Diego

I've been shopping around for a nail salon in my neighborhood and I came across Valerie's nail bar. When I 1st arrived the person that greeted me was named Nina and she was very rude and dismissive as if I was annoying and unimportant. Then a few moments later after I was seated another person came in and she was super nice to them because I guess they had set an appointment and she knew them. I Wonder how these regulars grew to be if she treats the new people like a burden. I really think she should be talked to about how she comes across to people especially if it isn't her business she is representing. The Negative taste in my mouth makes it so I will never return. She doesn't understand that she is representing something bigger than herself and needs to act accordingly. Moving on to the actual nails themselves the lady that did my nails was very sweet but unfortunately nowhere near the style I wanted in the picture and I'm just pretty upset with how my nails turned ou. Now I have to go to a new nail salon to get them taken off and redone. I wasted a ton of money here and wouldn't recommend it because the overall environment was unfriendly and the work was mediocre....

I really tried giving this place a chance. I’ve gone 3 times in this year, and each time I go Im hopeful but come out disappointed. The thing that aggravates me the most is that the prices they have on their website does not match what they tell you upfront. I went in today to get a fill with gel. On their website they say it’s $45, and I got a basic pedicure which they put online it’s $30. I know they might up the price by like $5-$10, but I payed $95 today. For simple white gel fill manicure and gel pedicure. I thought it would’ve been like $75-$85. I didn’t even ask for designs or anything. I don’t think I will return. Each time I’ve been here, they’ve also struggled with what I ask for them to do. For the experience they seem to have, I don’t think...

Had an amazing first time experience with this nail salon. Called to make an appointment which was quick and easy even though it was last minute and close to closing they still took me. Kaylie did my toes she was thorough on cleaning and making sure my feet were soft and callous free. She massaged my legs and feet which was so nice I started to fall asleep haha. Another lady did the cleaning and prep for my acrylic gel nails. Then Nina did the polish and design on my nails. She was very patient and accommodating to any style and design I wanted. Everything came out beautifully done and perfect I love my nails so much they came out incredible! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely recommend...
