You will get a high pressure sales job to sell you season tickets. I bought two season tickets for half the games, the Gold “A” Plan, and it was one of the worse experiences of my life! My wife and I were kept waiting for two never ending periods while the salesman checked the availability of particular seats for particular games, in uncomfortable sofa like chairs, and then kept waiting a third time in the small phone booth sized closing room. We wanted tickets to one Padres-Dodgers game on the “B” List, which was a “Home Run” in the dynamic pricing model they use to extract the highest dollar from the fan, and were told we had to give up a Home Run game to trade for another Home Run game. Major Problem: there are NO Home Run games in the family oriented A Plan with Sunday games we wanted. All seven Home Run games are Saturday free swag giveaway nights on the Alcohol focused Party Plan “B” List; there are no Home Runs on the A List to trade away. So after paying $2629 for the A game season tickets, we had to pay another $135 per ticket to attend the one Padres-Dodgers game. On top of all the Padres price gouging, I lost my key ring somewhere in the labyrinth of the ball park and had to pay over $1000 to get replacement keys to a locksmith, for which the Padres expressed zero care or compassion. As a 20 year retired Navy veteran, I expected some appreciation for the service to my country, but received none. In summary, I bought the tickets after the high pressure sales job, but it was a nightmarish hell my wife and I went through and we already decided we will not be renewing our season tickets for 2021. If we could get out of the 2020 contract and Season tickets, we would in...
Read moreI've been a season ticket holder for 22 yrs., since before Petco Park was built. I love the Padres...win or lose. The ticket office is XLNT!! I started with paper tix & love them still w/ the players photos on them. I'm NOT tech savvy, so got smart phone the latest I could. My sales rep taught me how to use the mlb Padres tickets to trade in, buy, etc. I found the digital system more useful, but not easy. The ticket office was a huge help April 14, 2022 Padres Opening Day vs Braves. I lost my smart phone July 5, 2021 & didn't have money to get a new phone. So April 13 I called my rep to find out how I was getting into the game. He ordered paper tixs for me. Opening Day I was contacted to go pick them up at Padres Ticket Office. Very friendly, very efficient, thank you, Javier, for your help on the phone (using my old "dumb" phone I was smart to have saved)!! 👍😊 I'll be getting a new smart phone soon!😄🤹♀️ 4/24/22 Edit update. Last night Sat 4/23 I attended the 2nd LA vs SD of 3 games series. The lines were huge! Of the 4 games I attended since Opening Day, 2 of them had tix problems: my scanned tix said "Blocked" on it, so I had to go to ticket office for a new tix & get back in line!! So THIS time I went first to the tix office & told them the problem. They took my tix & fixed it AND asked me if I wanted all the rest of my season paper tixs fixed!! WHOA! XLNT empathy!! Yes! And I thanked them for the wonderful help! The Padres tix office man said, "no, thank you for your patience". I replied, Go Padres! Beat L.A.! AND WE DID, 3 - 2 IN 10...
Read moreDon't let someone else buy your ticket, the nightmare is getting a physical ticket you can't. If your ticket doesn't come up they won't take the ticket number or bar code number. You have to go to the ticket office to.
Wife bought tickets for Father's day, big mistake as we tried everything to get a physical ticket and not to have to go through my cell phone. We couldn't do that. We waited in line to go in thinking we would get in at front and the bar code wouldn't come up. I had the ticket number and bar code number though but the people at the gate could only take a bar code. We had to go the ticket office and then we were subjected to some not professional behavior as I told them I needed a physical ticket and didn't want to go through that long line to get in again. They refused to give us a physical ticket or help us get through the line. We didn't get in until the 3rd inning. My daughter who never been to the game kept asking why would they not just have the ability to enter in the ticket number in their device. All I could think was that The Padres are too cheap to give out customer service. Being Cheap doesn't get you repeat customer's. She said she will tell all her friends how Cheap the Padres are and I told her I would do the same. Padres don't be so cheap provide a way to print out tickets or at least make sure that someone can just enter in a ticket number. You ruined a little gir's Father's day celebration and lost a customer for...
