Auto Glass Now — Local services in San Francisco

Stay away at all cost! Took my car in twice to have my passenger window fixed after being told they had my glass. Arrived, waited 3 hours and then was told the glass hasn't arrived yet and would take another 2 hours. Waited the 2 hours, glass doesn't arrive, so I had to leave for another appointment. They call me later that day that the glass had finally arrived and I could bring it in the morning and it should only take an hour. Took off time from work again the next day, waited 2 hours and then was told they couldn't find my glass and I would need to wait another 2 more days because it was Saturday and wait for them do it on Monday. I was so mad. What a waist of time of my patience, 7 hours and lost of wages. This place should be called Eventually Auto Glass. What a sham! Left and called another place. They had my window in stock and was installed that day andwas $23 dollars cheaper. Also, while I was waiting in their not so very nice waiting area, if you can even call it that, 3 other people where having issues with them as well. From a delayed installation, hmm...sounds familiar, a higher price quote from what they were told over the phone and last but not least, a windshield wasn't installed properly, so leaking when it rained....

Made an online inquiry to replace a broken window on my 1996 Toyota. Was told that they had the part at the San Francisco store. Next day I spoke to a live rep on the phone who assured me the store did have the quarter panel window. I said, “are you sure?Lady said, “yes, yes, yes.” Made and appointment for 10/4/2022 @ 9:30AM. At the store, manager left the office to make sure the part was there, came back and assured me she had the part, and the job would be done in 2 hours. I said I’d get some breakfast in the neighborhood and wait. She said she’d call if it was done sooner and charged my Visa $276.83. 2 hours later I went back and my car hadn’t moved. Window still broken. She said, “I was about to call you.” She found out 15 minutes after I left that she didn’t have the part, which would have been fine had she bothered to call me right away. I wasted a couple of hours. No apology. Blamed me. Blamed her boss. I asked for a refund and she told me to call Corporate. I did, they said she could reverse the charge if it was under 24 hours. She said no because corporate doesn’t know how credit card machines work @ 863 Bryant. It would take 2 to 6 weeks Still waiting for my refund

After a senseless window smash, I first tried the big name glass repair shop, where I've had other glass replacements done in the past. This time, their quote was astronomical so I started googling "car window repair" and found Auto Glass Now. I called right at closing time and got Lynette, who was super helpful, got me a price that was about half of the other guys, and followed up via text the next morning. She could get my (oem) replacement window and get it installed THE SAME DAY! Not only that, but since I was stuck at work, they picked up may car, fixed it, AND returned it to me THE SAME DAY! At HALF the price! (I was only a couple blocks away, so I don't want to suggest that they'd do this for everybody...) BOOM. Less than 24 hours from discovering my broken window, it was all behind me. These folks are my new go-to the next time some a**hat decides to smash my car window for no reason.

**update- it happened again, to a different car, and I had a similar spectacular experience with Auto Glass Now. They are definitely my go-to and I recommend...
