While we were browsing, our daughter brought us a candy cane decoration and asked us if we could buy it for her. A short haired employee took the candy cane out of our 3-year-old daughter's hands and said "I will put this back for you". Our daughter was so caught off guard and looked up at her mother to ask why the woman did that.
I asked the employee if she could explain why she took the item from our daughter. We were told "it looked like she was finished with it because she smiled". Whether or not our daughter was finished with the item was not the employee's decision to make.
Ownership has been replying to others over the last number of YEARS who have expressed similar concerns about this employee, but the reply is often generic - this will be addressed - etc. It is so obvious that this behavior has never been addressed. This is more of a reflection of ownership/poor leadership/poor work culture than it is the individual whose pattern of mistreating children has never been adequately addressed.
To close, I am baffled by how my daughter was mistreated, and by the indifference we were met with when we asked about it. If you don't wish to see your child mistreated, then stay away from...

My daughter wanted to buy large a candy cane and while holding it the older lady employee walked over and took the candy cane right out of her hands. She said âIâll put that back for youâ and proceeded to do so. My daughter was caught off guard by her snatching the item. When I asked the employee why I couldnât buy the item and why she took it from my daughterâs hands, she said my daughter smiled at her so she thought she was done with it? A non sensical response. When confronted by her actions it was clear she knew she was wrong. After reading other customer reviews, it is obvious this employee has low tolerance for children in the store. Shame on the owners for responding to other complaints by saying they will address the behaviour with their team, yet clearly nothing is changing.    Read moreVery poor customer service & relations. I'm living in Ireland & have called twice, trying to get the product code of a certain Bauble so I can order it online. The website has no images or description of item I wanted to buy so I just wanted to find out which item was the correct one. After my second call today 11/14/24 I'm just flabbergasted by the response I received. The sales assistant that answered basically told me it was now their busy season, she was too busy, couldn't help me, told me to call back at 2pm when the manager was in. When I tried to explain that I'm 8 hours ahead as im in ireland and that wouldn't be possible to call back she just hung up on me. Absolutely shocking attitude & no way to treat a customer. Certainly wont be buying anything from them ever again
