The amazing thing is why I waited so long to review a business that I’ve been in love with for 14 years! When designer Kristina Runske opened her store on a prime commercial stretch of San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood, Minimal quickly became my go-to brick and mortar for reasonably priced unique gifts for any occasion.
Purchasing 10-12 gifts a year, not one of over 100 gift recipients was anything less than enthusiastic about their gift from Minimal. All asked where I found that solar expandable camp lantern, the Festive champagne glasses, the lovingly designed card holders, the organic candles, uniques tea blends, extra soft throws, flat glass water flasks, one of a kind flower vase, never saw that before rings and bracelets, trivets emulating the early 20th century crafts movement, industrial looking ink pens and so on.

This shop has a great selection of good home goods and beautiful Swedish woven rugs. We originally stopped in just to look but left with a small bookcase and a rug.
