The public transit system is broken for not being able to stop the fare evaders. I take buses running on Mission & Folsom Streets regularly and found that only 20% of riders pay due fare over past seven years. This means honest tax payers’ money is being wasted by these fare dodgers. I observed that the age group between early twenties to mid-thirties are the most frequent ‘skippers’. It is truly deplorable to see these younger generation, our future, turning into cheaters. Furthermore, SFMTA has not put any effective due diligence in collecting fares. If SFMTA hires a group of three onboard fare inspectors and they issue 40 violation tickets a day, such a single team can collect fines of $700,000 per year, and $7M for 10 revolving teams (a total of 30 fare enforcers). Recently, there is a collusion between bus drivers to skip one’s turn and causing a great difficulty to the rush hour riders, particularly #12 bus. The following are the faces of repeat fare cheaters which help put the public transportation gasping for breath.

I’ve gotten a ticket for parking on my driveway. I’ve been parking at the same spot leaving three/four squares from people to walk by for years on the Excelsior area. I heard that you can pay doing community service if you don’t have the money to pay, the SFMTA Center at South Van Ness and Market allows you to make a contract for the amount of the ticket ( in my case it was $108.00) and do community service program, the program waives the $28.00 enrollment fee if you are low income. After the enrollment you are given a list of community service agencies where you can complete the hours required for completing the program. It took me roughly an hour to complete the request.

All they care about is money they don’t care about anything besides that Another terrible organization of San Francisco California Tons of needles on the floor tons of homeless everywhere every corner tons of feces everywhere every corner Tons of violence and disgusting attitude But yet they are one of the most efficient parking ticket organization. Shame on you SFMTA You are a joke and the people know it.

the guy who heads this department needs to be fired and investigated for a long list of things Corruption is in every part of this agency inconsistent bias unfair and dishonest illegal pi selective enforcement of policies and a judicial process that is a sham. protest are a waste of time they cannot be won. I got towed 2 days before the date stated on the tenp sign they posted had 6 witness statements video documentation of the process with their own employees and a police officer acknowledging on camera the date i was towed for was two days away but yet i was told i had to pay because the reason they gave me was they asked the person responsible for putting up the sign if they had put the correct date and they said yes so i was guilty . they will break the law and can get away with it because there is no oversight or...

There’s a lot of gangs in the Bay Area, but SFMTA is the biggest and most corrupt. These leaches are the judge, jury, and executioner which doesn’t make sense. The lack of intelligence is noted because the city still looks the same even though they steal all they can.

I got my car towed for “blocking a driveway” and appealed the citation. I showed them that a car was parked there right after mine, as well as about 7 google street pics going back to 2018 that cars park where I was at. There’s also time limit sign right next to it. The hearing was done by an sfmta employee to no use. “It only take ones complaint”. I was able to get my car due to the un organization of the agency, but was threatened to pay 3k+ in other fees.

This organization is a great representation of what’s wrong with...
