Updates: We reported damaged windows a long time ago; it took 2 months and multiple reschedules to finally have someone come to take a look (management would request that we stay home and not go to work expecting someone to come over, only to not show up and apologize a few days later to reschedule and this exact pattern happened multiple times), and they have not responded ever since about these damaged windows. What you see in the attached photo is not dirt, and actually cracks in the window that can be dangerous in a high rise building. We requested a window cleaning and it looks so dirty right after the clean. Attached a photo that doesn’t show it as clearly as you can see in real life. All 4 elevators were down at the same time again today.
————- Original post ————- I love the convenient location of the building and front desk is friendly and helpful. I’ve enjoyed living here overall, except the fact that sometimes the building leaves issues unfixed for a very long time.
For example, when we were shown around, we were advertised EV charges in the garage in the building, which is convenient. It has stopped working for 4-5 months now. Every time we ask, we get the “it will be fixed in 1-2 weeks” answer. We reached out to management a few times, and got radio silence on the matter. I only hope that’s the only thing they are neglecting in the building, and not other maintenance issues as well.
Bottom line is if you have an EV, definitely...

Slow elevators, some of them are not even operating. It’ll sometimes take you 5 min to get one.
Slow response from the leasing office. They barely replied my emails or phone calls. I have to constantly call them and they only give very vague answers and said will get back to me, which never happens.
I feel like they want to kick us out so that they can raise the rent. They (leasers) probably don’t care about the retention rate.
update=========
I decided to move out. But they mistakenly charged me the full-month rent for the last month but I only stay for 2 weeks. I called the leasing office and they told me either they can refund me on Friday and charge for a half-month rent again, or return the rest with my deposit after I move out. I LAUGHED, I chose the first option.
The funny thing is, it didn’t happen on Friday and I have to call again. And I got the same answer from the assistant: we got your number and left a note for the leaser, we’ll get back to you later. I look forward to it.
How ridiculous?!?! I can sue them for any lost due to this simple mistake! I signed up for the move out notice a while ago. Did they overlook?
Maybe they are understaffed. But is that my problem? I don’t pay my rent to deal with...
Read moreThis building has taught me so much and I've had the privilege of being part of the team as a first time concierge. The office is amazing and are known for always being there for their residents. I worked night shifts and so many times have the residents come up to me just to tell me their best compliments to the office. If you choose to live here, you will have the best porters. They are the reason the Paramount is looking so beautiful on the inside (Lita is the BEST one). Your concierge will always be there for you when you need something and anything. They are the easiest people to talk to! The best part about being a concierge was hearing what my residents had to say. Sometimes silly, other times they just needed an ear...or just their packages! But the BEST part of all is that if you choose to live here you are smack down in the MIDDLE of the shopping areas (Target, Whole Foods, Starbucks, etc). It's less than a 10 min walk so you know you're getting your money's worth.
And remember, kindness, a thank you, and communication goes a long way. Your team will be there for you, future residents. I hope the New York residents and team shows the same amazing qualities as the San Francisco, Paramount building did. Well done,...
