I called 3 times to Best Buy Savannah at 7929 Abercorn St Bldg 5 Savannah, GA 31406 they didnt answer the phone, none of them did, and it ended up getting rerouted to an international center.
I inquired about the services regarding the assembling of a PC for which I had all the necessary parts, but have inexperience and a shaky hand, so I dont want to cause damage to the PC, I was assured the 3 separate times I called that said service was available and would be provided to me, so I made the appointment and arrived at the required time. When I arrived however I was told they did not provide said service and was told there was nothing that could be done for me.
Considering the urgency that for which I need for this service, and that I had to travel via Uber, paying $20 to get there, it is beyond frustrating that my experience with Best Buy, a store which continuously proclaims itself as one of the Best stores for technology would lack any capability to assist me, specially when I had been assured 3 times, that I would be given service.
It certainly is detrimental and even worse when I am to consider that, if this has happened to me, then it most definitely has happened to many, many, many others who, like myself, are likely to be just as frustrated and have no motivation to ever seek the services of your geek squad, or purchase at Best Buy, specially when this is not the first bad experience I have had at this particular store.
on a side note- its odd that nearly half the reviews are one star, yet this site is giving them almost 4 stars average, when in truth it should be at best 2.4 star...
Read moreI am so highly disappointed with Geek Squad, it's not even funny. Paid for a whole year of service so that we could get them to come to the house in case my mom had problems while I was gone with work. The guy servicing Richmond Hill came out the first time because we had problems with the computer not shutting off or the screen blacked out. Then a few weeks later mom kept getting a message about thermal control warning. Called him to come out again, and litterally had to keep leaving messages and call his manager for him to acknowledge us. When he finally showed up, after the first appt he made with us and missed without calling, he went back to an earlier date on the recovery part, let that run, and left because he said he had other customers to tend to. Like we are bothering him. Mom was still having problems thereafter and nothing was working properly. When I got home, Windows menu wouldn't come up, error readings flying across the screen, just a big huge mess this tech created. And this was an expensive Alienware computer we bought from Best Buy. I took the whole thing to someone that actually knows his job, and he told me the graphics card was fried (hence the thermal control warnings) and never should the technician have run a recovery from a previous date, because now that created even more software problem. Due to his lack of ability to work on software and identify hardware problems, he has cost me $600 for new graphics card, and reloading of all the data. Stay away from these people. Read more2 weeks from last Tuesday I had nest door cam installed. I thought that it was properly done until I realize that my Chime was not ringing indoors. I called nest and explained that I had it properly installed by Best Buy Greek squad who they recommended. Nest advise me to call the store and that they should come back out. I called the store and I been on hold for over an hour. The first person gathered some info from me after being on hold for nearly 20mins. She transferred my called to someone else where I waited again another 20+mins. Note this person put me on hold as well so now I’m getting dress on my way there and the phone hung up. After getting to the store explaining my situation the Greek squad agent gave me a service order claim and apologize. He told me to contact Charlie Minyard in which I did. It’s Friday again with no phone call no appointment set up. So I had to buy a part as well as paying someone else to come out to fix my problem. 100 is not much but I paid Greek squad for a professional job then had to pay someone else to complete the job is not right.
