Had Rodys come out to replace our home audio system, one of our TVs and our camera system. When Phil came out he said it would take 1-2 days max, ended up being about 9 days worth of labor and 3x the cost that was originally quoted. I understand that unexpected things come up, but it felt like I had to do the research on items and catch the mistakes that they were making. Unless you are very well versed in electronic systems and know how they should be installed I would not recommend them. Felt like I had to do a lot of the problem solving for them.
One example of this is that they recommended a TV that did not fit our high end, already installed TV mount, ended up being a 400$ upcharge to replace TV mount when the already unboxed TV didn't fit our current mount. And then additional work to repaint the wall where the old mount was.
Another example is that they highly recommended the SONOS sound system. On day 4 when the system continued to give us issues with connectivity and the app, the techs complained that SONOS has not been good for a few months when they did an App update... Why was I not told this prior to the installation. I went with the advice of a Rodys Audio Warehouse, when it felt like I would have been better off doing my own research and...
Read moreWould have given them four stars but: After spending $220 to have Rody's hoo'k up my electronics, I realized that I forgot to give the tech my headphones to hook up (I have a bi-lateral hearing loss). We moved into a home recently and I have been busy doing the usual move-in chores....Now that things have calmed down, I decided to hook up my head phones. No luck. I've tried everything that I could. So, I thought since Rody's was here a couple of weeks ago, maybe, for a small fee, they could swing by and hook up these damn headphones. I just called Rody's and the lady told me that it would cost me $135. I couldn't believe it, especially since I told her they were here a couple of weeks ago. She was pretty curt about it saying that the $135 was their "service call fee". Well, a couple of things: 1) Rody's DEFINITELY lost a customer, 2) I will let everyone I know about the piss-poor customer relations...
