Positives first- the location is fantastic, the floorplans are well laid out with interior finishes I'd expect from a standard 'luxury' apartment. Rent is slightly cheaper than other comparable places.
Unfortunately management is abysmal. I'll caveat to say that the office workers I've interacted with have been nothing but polite on a personal level. That doesn't change the fact that when I showed up with a full truck to move in, I was informed in person that my unit was actually water damaged and I wouldn't be able to move in that day. The fact that I was delayed in taking possession of the unit in and of itself isn't a huge deal, I get that things happen that are outside of management's control. What is in their control however is communication. In this case, they were fully aware of the issue but did not reach out in any way to inform me in advance so that I could take steps to mitigate things. The fact that I would be unable to move in was not a surprise to them, only to me. I had to to load my truck, then unload it back into the same storage unit I had just emptied in 110 degree weather. A single email or phone call would have prevented that. The individual working that weekend told me that while he did not have the authority to authorize any concessions/reimbursements himself, he was confident his manager would do so. When I mentioned it to the manager, she was resistant to the idea. She eventually agreed to credit an amount that was so low it was frankly insulting.
Even the process of signing my lease was difficult, in that after being approved, I had to reach out on four separate occasions over the next two weeks asking to be sent an actual lease to sign. Each time I was told that it was a mistake on their end that I hadn't been sent one already and that they would rectify it right away. They did not.
I've been in the unit for a week now. I noticed on my second day in the unit that my washing machine was broken. Not a huge deal, again I get that things happen. I submitted a maintenance request that night. It has now been five full days since then and nobody has come to even look to find out what the issue is. If fixing the issue was delayed because they needed to order a part or something, that's understandable. But management has apparently decided that a single maintenance person is sufficient for the entire complex so my problem hasn't even been diagnosed yet.
Update: It has now been two weeks since my maintenance request was submitted. No progress...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. Seen rats on multiple occasions in the garage, the whole place REEKS of dog urine and feces, the trash build up is disgusting and makes the whole complex smell bad. The pool is also always filled with leaves.
You’ll wait weeks for basic maintenance requests, the management office is short and unhelpful, and the prices going up is outrageous especially when they claim to be luxury apartments with outdated appliances. The tow company they list on the garage doesn’t actually come to the palladium apartment complex anymore so if someone parks in your spot you have to drive up to the very top of the garage. Leasing office will do nothing about this.
They had the audacity to charge me money for not having renters insurance on my apartment after I had moved out on the date specified on my lease because I didn’t give full 60 days notice. My microwave door was cracked when I moved in and they said they would replace it within 30 days, but they didn’t change it out until a week before my move out date. I made maintenance requests for it as well.
When I first moved in they changed my moving date on three separate occasions, and when I finally moved in my floor was COVERED in paint. They came and replaced it a WEEK after I moved in. They also offered me $500 in compensation because of moving troubles and when I asked for it multiple times, their answer was always “we have to discuss it with our manager”. I never received that money.
All in all, don’t move here. Don’t move to any location managed by greystar because all they care about is charging you out the a*s while ripping you off and cutting corners in every way possible. Crappiest place...
Read moreIt’s been 6 months of every resident having to live without receiving mail/the mailboxes not being set up so I have not received important mail/packages as you have to go every week to USPS or it will be thrown out, even usps is sick of it bc they have 100s of residents here having to go there. This is a ridiculous amount of time for it to not be fixed, especially for a “luxury” apartment complex. They keep claiming it will be fixed each month but so far hasn’t and I have lost $ on packages that weren’t delivered which is upsetting. Maintenance also was working on an empty unit above us and left the water main on so it leaked into our unit and damaged it. We had to live without it being repaired for about two months and they refused to offer us any credit/goodwill gesture for their mistake. In addition, when they came to fix it they put the wrong color paint on both the wall and ceiling so it looked terrible and it’s still not fixed on the ceiling. We are also paying well above market rent right now for such terrible conditions. Management is also always changing and doesn’t care. We also had a flood last year (again due to maintenance refusing to fix our toilet constantly running) and the apt hasn’t looked nice since. The doors have water lines and the floors come up. I have called and brought it to their attention multiple times. I have been a property manager for a super ghetto apartment complex and the scary part is this complex has more issues than that one. I feel terrible leaving this review but it is the truth and I feel we have been more than patient over this ridiculousness, not to mention so many other things we’ve...
