I’m giving this place one star. Do yourself a favor and PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place is extremely small, they couldn’t even accommodate a large party reservation I made weeks ahead of time. I made a reservation weeks ago for a large party of 11. When we got there, we were told we would have to split up at 2 different tables. When asked why, we were told “because we dont have a table big enough for 11 people” why wasn’t that said when I made the reservation??!! But we were there and really didn’t have time to go to another place because we had another event to be at by 3pm. We were in our seats at our table by 12:15. Took about 10-15 mins for our server to come by and get our drinks. Once she came and got drinks we also ordered a hookah for both tables. Drinks came out probably about 10 mins later. Hookah took an whole hour to get to our table. Which means we paid $47 per hookah and really wasn’t even going to have enough time to enjoy it. During this whole time we are STILL WAITING ON FOOD. We are hungry as it is almost 2pm at this point. WE SAT DOWN AT 12:15! 1st table food came out about 2:10pm, the 2nd table food came out around 2:25pm. Half our party had to leave to check in at our next event at 2:30, so they grabbed boxes threw they food in them and left. We waited almost 2 HOURS for our food. Which is so sad because it really messed up the experience for the whole party. The rest of the party had to rush to eat and pay the bill so we could leave to get to our next event. We didn’t leave till after 3pm. So it took us almost 3 hours to have brunch here in which it wasn’t even enjoyable.
The only thing good was the music. The food was extremely mediocre, except the oxtail tacos which IMO were amazing. We went here to support the community but were extremely let down by everything being extremely SLOW. All 11 of us agreed we would NEVER BE BACK. Word of advice to the owners DO BETTER! It wasn’t even that crowded when we ordered the food and once again it’s an extremely small place it doesn’t make any sense why the food and hookah too so long to get out to our table. Read moreI went to this place on a Saturday night because I saw a chef on TikTok advertising her food and the food looked amazing! So i wanted to give it a try. I placed a to go order and i sat at the bar and had a few drinks while i wait. Mind you the place isn’t busy but there is an attached club that’s next door so maybe they service both the club and the restaurant area. Anyway… i waited for my food for over an hour and i ordered two drinks which were subpar but i took the L. Once i got ready to pay, the pricing was extremely high for what I got but I paid for it anyway because i was ready to go. When i left, I looked over my receipt and I saw an auto gratuity added. Nowhere in the place do they advertise that an automatic gratuity is added to all orders. Also I don’t know if the chef that I saw on TikTok is separate from the Well Seasoned cooks but the macaroni and greens were TRASH and looked nothing like what I saw on TikTok! They were wrapped in aluminum foil and tasted like they were straight out of a box/can. Another L i took lol but the wings were fire. I really wanted to resolve this matter with the manager without having to write this review or take other measures but whoever I was texting (because they don’t answer the phone) with had a very nasty attitude and wanted to question me about why wouldn’t i want to give a tip. Also I was told that I would receive a refund for the Mac and cheese and greens but have yet to receive that. Please understand that a tip is no issue for me to give but don’t question me as a customer, just explain your policy and keep it moving and furthermore as i stated the auto gratuity was not advertised so I was not aware. FIRST THEY CLOSE YOUR TAB AFTER EVERY ORDER If you order a drink and a meal, the tab is closed and you have to pay, PLUS 15% GRATUITY. You order another drink, and it’s closed out again. This is ridiculous.
SECOND It’s hard to tell who the employees are versus customers. When I went, no one had on uniform shirts. Presentation is important. Sometimes you only get one chance to impress or satisfy a customer, and they didn’t pass. Most owners, managers, etc., are either in uniform or dressed professionally/casually. They are not walking around in slides and socks. Just from a business owner’s opinion.
THIRD When I walked in with my group of five, we immediately looked to the right and saw the kitchen. The doors should have been closed because what we saw was a turnoff. It was dirty. I saw only two cooks and neither was wearing gloves. People were standing around the cooking area talking. Some say the food takes a while to come out, well, it’s a very small kitchen and not a full staff of cooks. The broom and mop were right at the entrance to the kitchen. The waitress, who was touching tablets, money, and customer cards, was seen at the bar with a dish tray (similar to the ones people use at home), sorting silverware with NO gloves on. My mimosa, they no longer have flights, was warm. Not to mention, they served it in a plastic champagne flute. They lost five guests who were ready to order and party.
I hope they check out surrounding restaurants and get a feel for how they are running their business. But...
