After having a terrible cut and color experience a few months ago at a different salon, I thought my only option was to grow my hair out, as thin as it looked, to eventually get rid of the horrible layering job I was dealing with. After doing some searching and LOTS of review readings, of different salons, I landed on BBV….and I’m beyond thankful I did!!! From the moment I made the appointment over the phone, the front desk answered all of my questions (…nervous to get it cut again…) and they were so sweet about my concerns. They asked questions about what I expected and was looking for and paired me with the most AMAZING stylist, Gladis! WHAT A SAINT AND MIRACLE worker! She was so sweet, took the time to talk to me about what I wanted and didn’t want and what was best for my damaged hair, how much to cut off and the best color to give me some dimension. Not once did she ever look annoyed or bothered and she never made me feel rushed or like I was a bother. She is easy to communicate with and a lot of fun to talk to. Then Veronica, the owner, came by to introduce herself and welcome me as a new client, to the salon. She is so sweet!! As did Gladis, Veronica took the time to chat with me, look at inspirational photos and help us figure out the best route for my hair. I’ve never had a salon owner come by and do that! They make you feel like family instantly! Gladis did the most amazing cut on me! I thought I was going to have to cut it short to remove a lot of the damage and layer but she was able to cut it perfectly to keep length. It looks so healthy now, flow-y and I feel beautiful again. The color she picked for my subtle “peekaboo” highlights is amazing too. I cannot say enough about BBV and the staff or experience. Trust me, you’ll just have to try it out for yourself and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Can’t wait...

This salon has healed my fear of hair salons. I am very protective over who I trust with my hair. As someone who participates in public speaking, and as a former pageant contestant, I’m very particular about my appearance. In addition, as someone with naturally curly hair, finding a dependable and knowledgeable stylist is like finding a needle in a haystack - especially in Scottsdale. I received a recommendation to visit Veronica/her salon from a friend who has been getting their hair done by her for quite some time now, and at first I was timid. I had flashbacks of all the times I’ve gone to other salons and left feeling very unsatisfied and to some extent ugly because of the special skills caring for my curls requires. Although upon entering this location something was different, even the experience of being greeted at the front desk, you can feel the great energy and dedication towards serving their clients. Kayla shampooed and assisted with my hair throughout the service and Veronica did a wonderful job on my hair. It was treated, blown-out, straightened, trimmed and curled. I came in specifically because I had an upcoming job interview for a position I really want. By the time I left the salon, after looking at my hair, I basically felt so beautiful like I could apply for a job to rule the whole world. My confidence skyrocketed. Thank you so much very Veronica and Kayla and the rest of the BBV staff for taking such good care of me and making me feel and look like $1 million bucks. To those that are considering coming in to this location, only do so if you are ready for your confidence and your glam to be taken to the next level!! Kind...

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone after my booking experience.

I called to book a spiral perm, specified my hair type and wants over the phone when booking. I’ve had perms in the past so I know the technique I like for my hair. I was referred to get a consultation with Lauryn and specifically asked if she would have time to complete the service the same day as the consultation because I had travel plans the week after. I was told yes so I booked the appointment.

Upon arriving at my appointment, Lauryn’s base pricing was $105 above the salon base pricing on the website with no explanation as to why it was higher. She had no experience doing the type of perm I wanted and unlike I was told on the phone, she had an appointment after my consultation and would not have been able to do my perm that day anyways. I was completely misinformed and waited for an appointment here when I could have gone to another salon.

The owner tried to book me with another stylist (Joette), but when I voiced my concerns about the timing and asked questions about the stylists availability and how the perm would uphold with my upcoming travel plans if I scheduled it later, I received no answer. I asked my questions again hoping to receive an answer and potentially move forward with the second stylist, but instead I received a blank stare from Veronica before being told this isn’t the salon for me and they would no longer...
