Worse massage ever. Never again!
Im a masssage therapist and i know when someone has the techniques and the knowledge! I few weeks ago, my wife gave me a gift certificate for a massage at this place. Booked and my therapist Raina was recommended by the lady at the desk as an amazing therapist. The day of the massage, Raina greeted me and asked me what I needed to be done. She mentioned (full communication was important) so she could adjust accordingly.
I told her needed some relaxation with some focus on my lower back and legs as I ride mountain bikes all the time and get lots of tension in those areas. From beginning, I knew already this wasn’t going to be a great massage, she grabbed the oil bottle and was pouring and pouring the oil all over, felt the oil running on my back and then down.
She started to massage working my upper back in a very rough way that she was shaking the table and my entire body. Then she jumped to my lower back but she directed the efforts where my lower back meets my stomach. (Not my lower back)
She was shaking me again so hard that I finally asked her to stopped and use a diferent modality. She got very aggressive and responded back “don’t you want me to remove the tension?” I asked again to find a different technique. . Lady responded back like three times that I asked her to remove the tension and that’s what she was doing. Told her she was shaking me a lot and it was very unpleasant.
In a very rude tone, She told me she was ending the session and she left immediately. Manager came into the room and i explained what happened, how she treated me, and her horrible attitude. The Manager said (they always said they will take care but they don’t) she would take care. What horrible horrible experience.
The Manager, as I was leaving, told me she was so concern that my wife would walk away and cancel her membership if i was to tell her of what just happened. Manager was More concern about losing a client than what the employee did to me. I told the manager I would let my wife enjoy her session and treatment but that I was not coming back and that she needed to take care of this therapist
So my wide still goes there for other treatments and after she talked to some of the employees about my experience, she was told that the same massage therapist, still working there, had same problems with other clients in the past. My wife was told, this massage therapist treats other employees very bad and has the same horrible attitude with them too!!!! Question is; why is she still working there? Poor management that are willing to put a client in harms way? Better places out there but remember this name and stay away “Raina) believe...
Read moreRecently, I got some gift certificates for random businesses in the mail. One of them was a free 30 minute massage and facial for this place. I was excited to try them out because I had interviewed at another location at one point n it seemed like a lovely establishment. This location looked the same inside and out. I go there as a walk in after physical therapy that's nearby, hoping to unwind even more. The receptionist seemed annoyed I was asking about any openings, even though I said I could wait or come back, even on another day. So already bad vibes. But I waited not long. When filling out the paperwork, I checked the pressure box for firm with a bold ex and heavily underlined the word firm. Both employees must have been informed this was a free session. The pressure was medium not firm and my giant upper back knots are 10 years old. I wasnt expecting miracles, but at least some amount of satisfaction. I don't care if it's free. I'm still tipping, so it's your job to give me a wonderful first impression!! Not assume I'm a cheapskate for using a perfectly good certificate I wasn't expecting to be sent to me. All the massage guy AND the esthetician wanted to do was talk about my scars, as you could see the road rash on my arm/shoulder. Ok ummm.... THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SPA. HOW I GOT MY SCARS WAS THE MOST TRAUMATIC DAY OF MY YOUNG LIFE. WHY WOULD A SPA BE A PLACE I WOULD TALK ABOUT IT?!?! It was very annoying and rude and they both got tips they obviously didn't deserve. In my profession I definitely understand tipping. But even for a free service, they certainly didn't earn the measly $5 I left each of them. Which could have been more. Sad, I just got a 2nd job so I could use a monthly or even bi-monthly massage. I'll have money and I often tip OVER 20% for GOOD services. Thankfully I have since found another resource. I just think the employees need to be more professional/logical really. I was dressed in $65 VS PINK rhinestone leggings and had a Kate Spade purse. That doesn't indicate broke....
Read moreIf you are a breast cancer patient undergoing radiation therapy avoid this place. I called to inquire about a massage earlier this week. Told them I was undergoing radiation therapy for breast cancer. My shoulder and neck were very sore from holding my left arm up in a holder for 30 min and my neck was sore from having to hold it in turned position for the same amount of time. Radiation therapy is typically 5 days a week . They gave me appointment. Then they called back and said I needed a note from radiologist. I got the note from doctor from MD Anderson Cancer Center-Well known, prestigious cancer center. They switched me to an oncologic massage person. Today one hour from 5 pm appointment I receive a call saying they could not see me. I can come a week after therapy. I need therapy now not a week from now. They said it was for my safety. Obviously my doctor thought it was safe also radiation is given every weekday not with gaps of a week. Their oncologic massage person seemed not to know that. Another comment -not safe for others. What, I radiate everyone around me?? This company needs to train their staff on how radiation therapy works if they want to offer a so-called oncologic massage. Went to a place called Just Relax who...
