Seattle’s United lounge is compact but well run. I was in a crunch having little time at SEA-TAC airport before my flight departure for SFO. I could buy food but I decided to use a United lounge voucher. What a great decision! Honestly, this lounge is small, the smallest I’ve seen. It is located close to Gate 10 in the United area. Tucked away, somehow people find their way here; it is very busy too. I took the escalator up and used one of my lounge vouchers. Thanks, United!
Seattle’s UA lounge description: There is one side with armchair seats and dining tables (Room 1). Then there is the other room (Room 2) with more armchairs and working spaces. Walking into Room 1, I saw the food area at the back.
Food & beverage:
They had chicken tortilla soup today, a few prepared salads, make your own salad bar and some sandwich fixings. I was so relieved to have some fresh salad! There were also a few sweets like small squares of German chocolate cake, oatmeal raisin cookies and petit fours. I got some salad, a sweet and also some mixed nuts from the container on the bar counter. The bar had some non-alcoholic juice drinks (see menu photo) so I got one of those too. The food was fresh and tasty! The challenge was finding a seat since some people were seated in the dining space but no longer eating. The corridor had the hot beverage self serve station and some fresh fruit. I was in the lounge for 20 minutes before having to go to the gate. A quick visit but overall well worth it since my flight was not providing any meal and just a small snack.
Overall experience: 3.5 to 4 stars
Food: 4 stars - basic, tasty and fresh, simple not fancy Ambiance: 3.5 stars - not very spacious (-small), felt crowded, utilitarian Lounge service: 4.5 stars - Lounge staff were very nice. Tidied up or removed empty dishes from tables and polite about it. Check-in: 3 stars - staff not very...
Read moreI have yet to understand how EVERY United Club I visit has a different policy / understanding of allowing active-duty military members access.
Specifically at this location, my husband was traveling through on official orders but denied entry because he wasn't on leave. But at other locations, they state that he must be on official orders and not on leave.
Then, when he is on leave, the United policy states that he only needs to have his Common Access Card / Military ID, but the front desk agents ask for a copy of leave or rest/recuperation orders for entry. I've even called United Customer Service to get clarification before, and THREE different agents all had a different interpretation of the policy.
10000% the reason why we will not book or fly with United in the future. Unclear policies, delays overall, and the club attendants being rude when asking for clarification just seal the deal for us. Delta and American are much friendlier and easier to work with.

Read moreThis is by far the worst United Club I’ve experienced. The staff at the bar were talking loudly among themselves, creating an unprofessional and disruptive environment. When I politely asked if they could lower their voices, one of the women (Tess) behind the bar responded rudely and defensively, saying, “What’s wrong with you?” I was shocked—this is the first time I’ve encountered such a dismissive and aggressive response from staff in a United Club.
I reported the incident to the manager, who was courteous and handled the situation professionally. However, the staff involved showed no awareness or remorse for their behavior, which speaks to a deeper issue with training and customer service standards at this location.
Their attitude and conduct felt more like a street food stall than a premium airport lounge. On top of that, the lounge layout is poorly designed, adding to the overall disappointing experience. This location does not meet the standard expected of...
