Mountain Room Bar — Restaurant in SeaTac

This restaurant is conveniently located beside the gate I needed to be at to fly out and the sign said it was open at 6am so I decided I would go here for breakfast. I had been here since 1:30am so at 5am I went for coffee at Starbucks and slowly made my way back to this restaurant for 6am. There were a staff already in the restaurant before 6am but at 6am I saw more staff walk in and start wiping down tables and setting up. I waited 20 minutes until they opened the doors(not really a big deal since I wasnt in a rush but doesn't make sense to advertise a certain time and then not open at it). I was the first person in and was served my drink quickly and my food came out fast which was nice. But my food came on a paper plate with a plastic fork and knife on the side. Now I'm wondering to myself if I'm at a restaurant or a backyard BBQ. I got an omelette and it was good, the toast was barely toast but that wasn't what the main part of the meal was anyways. I got two beers which were the panther lake porter and Alaskan amber which were both good and then ordered the gimlet as my final drink (my server was going on a break so I had to settle up but I was leaving in an hour anyways). I'm a little bit confused about the gimlet as I am not the BIGGEST gin drinker but I do know it has a very distinctive taste especially a double in a short glass but my drink tasted like a single vodka 7(I would know because I drank enough of these when I was 20). Very strange. Maybe next time if I ever come back here I will sit at the bar to see how the drinks are made. I would say this isnt an awful place if it isn't busy or short staffed. Terrible experience. It was moderately busy when I asked to see the menu. The waiter told me “it would be 25 min. So plan accordingly.” We decided to still eat there. Came back to make an order and the waiter said “we are taking no more orders. It will be 30 mins.” Before even hearing what I said. I told him we were willing to wait and he said “ok well it will be a minute then before you can order.” I waited 15 minutes he walked by me multiple times looking like he was lost, not acknowledging my presence. I asked again about making an order telling them I would wait for it to be cooked and they told me I would have to wait a while to make an order again. Do not go there if you are trying to make a flight in the near future. Do not go there if you have no flight for 4 hours, as was my situation. Another couple was upset because they had been waiting for a while just for their receipt....

So we sat it was crazy busy and we have a long wait for our flight BUT this place was so so busy there were 3 actual people on the floor one of them being a manager HE DID NOTHING AT ALL our waitress Phoung was swamped she made a few mistakes but SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE DOING ANYTHING AT ALL I truly feel bad for her as the pregnant woman behind the counter was very busy on her personal phone. My husband NEVER speaks but went to the manager and voiced his concern I would leave his name but he was not wearing a name tag he told my husband he had no idea the situation well my husband owns several establishments and if his manager ever let his staff suffer like that (for 2.5 hours)he would not have a job sorry that I don’t have a phone number to report that manager to SORRY TO THE STAFF THAT SUFFERS WITH A...
