I would highly recommend Cesar. Out of the 15 years I've been getting haircuts (alone... I'm excluding the time when I was younger and my mom took me to get haircuts), this has been the BEST haircut/style/experience I've ever had.

I met Cesar as a neighbor first, not as a hair magician/professional. He was always so bubbly, kind and warm to myself and others, and we had talked here and there when our paths crossed. On a random night, we ended up talking about hair, and Cesar started talking about hair composition, different types of hair, hair treatments and I was really impressed with his extensive knowledge about hair, and his clear passion for it. A week later, I started having scalp pain because my hair was too long/heavy and I knew it was a time for a haircut. Coincidentally, I ran into Cesar, so I asked him if we could trade info, so I could schedule a haircut with him. I wanted to take that chance to solve my scalp pain issue, and get to know Cesar outside our building.

Well, lemme tell you, Cesar is my hair professional for life now. Here's some reasons:

1. Hair care: Cesar took care of my hair better than other hair appointments I've had. He shampoo'd, conditioned, did some magic when he was washing my hair, and since then, my hair has been super soft and well nourished. I'm the type of person who wears my hair in a ponytail all day, every day, but since the haircut, I've been wearing it down every day (besides working out). My hair feels so healthy, thick and shiny; it feels so good to just let it down!
2. Professionalism: Cesar is a hair PROFESSIONAL. I mean, his skills with the scissors and blow dryer are amazing. Quick, adept, comfortable, and his speed in cutting and styling...! When I asked him what kinds of haircuts would work well with my face, he had great feedback on what I should consider and what I should avoid. During the haircut, he also showed me some areas of concern in my hair and taught me some neat tips and tricks to keep it healthy.
3. Good hearted: Cesar really cares about his work, clients, and others. He's an ambitious entrepreneur, who gives a portion of his proceeds to the greater good. From our conversations, he's a great listener, super easy going, and comes off genuine, trusting and good-hearted. As a neighbor, he was one of my favorite neighbors to run into, but it's awesome seeing his persona in the workplace. He's got a kinder soul than I imagined, and he's just a really good person.
4. He transformed my hair into a Victoria Secret model: When I get a haircut, I usually get the standard styling, which are some loose barrel curls. It's cute, and I love it, but man, that feels like nothing compared to the way Cesar cut and styled my hair. After he spun my chair around to the mirror for the hair reveal, I cried. He gave me this wave in the hair near my forehead that framed my face and highlighted my forehead. The curls he tediously styled transformed my fuzzy long hair into Victoria-Secret-model-ready-for-the-runway hair. I LOOKED BOMB YO!! The layers I have now fall so naturally to highlight my forehead, face shape, cheek bones, neck, and --I'm not joking when I say-- I wear my hair down every day.

All in all, I highly recommend...

I've been coming to see Cesar every two weeks for almost a year now, and I have been consistently impressed with his work. He is an incredible artist and stylist that truly cares about his client's needs, and he always goes above and beyond to make sure that I am happy with my hair. For example, I told him that my scalp gets irritated by hair dyes with sulfites and he went out of his way to research and stock products that would not irritate my skin. He also takes the time to educate me about my hair type and how to care for it at home. I highly recommend Cesar to anyone, especially if you’re looking for someone that knows how to work with textured hair. My daughter and I have textured hair, and it has been so hard to find anyone in Seattle/Bellevue that understands how to cut, color, and shape our hair. Cesar is a master of textured hair, and he always does an amazing job. If you have curls, waves, or any kind of textured hair, look no further - book an appointment with Cesar! He is very knowledgeable about different hair types and stays up-to-date on the latest trends.
