Office of Admissions — Local services in Seattle

I have never been to the actual admissions office on campus but I have communicated with staff via email and phone. I have found them to be incredibly rude and treat you like you're wasting their time. I had a lot of legitimate questions in regards to transferring from an out of state university to Washington. I was treated like I didn't matter and that all answers can be found on the website (no, they cannot). When I called the receptionists was very pleasant but the admissions adviser I spoke to was incredibly unprofessional. He never introduced himself or even gave his name. Many of the people negatively reviewing UW Admissions sound like children and need to grow up. This is a competitive school and you are expected to do some of the legwork and research yourself, as an ADULT. I jumped through all the hoops successfully, without getting hung up on anything, and I was applying to arguably their most competitive department/school.
