The short bartender with the facial hair was crazy rude. I have worked in the service industry. I understand everyone has bad days, and I don’t ever expect bar or restaurant staff to have to fake a smile or put on a show, but this was kind of next level. My half full drink spilled at my table. There were no napkins anywhere for me to clean it up, so I asked for napkins at the bar. He came over to clean it up while giving us dirty looks the whole time. Fine, I get it, it’s mildly annoying to clean stuff up. If there were napkins anywhere, I wouldn’t have asked him to do it. It was solely on the table and was not a safety hazard; he didn’t even have to bend over to clean the floor. I ordered another drink and had my card ready- I did not expect or even want a free replacement drink. He then accused me of being drunk and told me if I spilled another drink I would be kicked out. That was legitimately the first drink I had all WEEK. I did not do anything to display intoxicated behavior in any way. I didn’t talk while in his line, and didn’t lean on, let alone even touch the bar. It was just so bizarre for him to get so aggressive and accusatory over something so small. I don’t appreciate being accused of things I didn’t do. Again, I’ve worked in the service industry, and if having to wipe up half a glass worth of liquid for
Read moreAfter visiting Seattle for a couple of weeks I have come to realize that WAY too many places here are rated highly for NO reason. It seems like almost every mediocre establishment has a generous 4 star average review because people are just too nice or don't know any better. This bar is one such place.
First off, it was very slow when we arrived, yet they sat us (a party of two) basically inside the doorframe to the men's room and gave as 'tude when we requested a booth instead. "Those are usually for larger parties" they told us.
Then the drinks... Poorly made Manhattans with inappropriate ice chips and garnished with the most disgusting, chalky-tasting cherries in the history of an area known for delicious cherries. Disgraceful.
The food was even worse. They served a chilled, bland bean paste resembling canned cat food and called it "spicy white bean dip." A caprese salad should have been easy but instead they sent out a bowl of balsamic with some cheese and vegetables swimming around somewhere.
Also note, we had just came from another bar called Percy and Co in the Ballard area and had ordered the exact same drinks with entirely...
Read moreI kept hearing about the chicken here 🍗
The Nashville Hot is DELICIOUS! One of the best fried chicken that I've had in Washington! 👍🏽👍🏽 It was crispy, juicy and the flavor was on point!
The Mac n Cheese was also awesome! Great cheese to mac ratio👌🏾
One of the options for the chicken is REAPER.
Coming from a person that likes spicy food, REAPER is one of the hottest foods I've ever tasted. 🥵
Our waitress was kind enough to warn us about it, but since I insisted on trying it, she suggested I try it in the slider form.
Right when it came to our table, I could instantly smell how spicy this thing was. 😳
I proceeded to lick 😝 the chicken patty and felt right away that this spice was serious.
I finally took 1 bite out of this slider 😬 and within a minute, my whole mouth was on fire 🔥, my nose started to run, and tears started flowing out of my eyes 👀
I had to sit back and wait out the pain and suffering 😫
Fortunately, I recovered enough in about 15 minutes to enjoy the rest of my food 😅
Would I come back?? Haillll Yeahhhhhh!! 😍
Will I ever mess with their REAPER again?? I wouldn't touch that with a 10...
