I had an extremely disappointing experience with Pirrko Seattle that I feel compelled to share. I spoke with an employee twice to confirm the cost of stretching Marimekko fabric onto a canvas riser—both times I was told it would be $180, a price also listed on their website. Based on this clear communication, I drove an hour each way to the store.

When I arrived, the owner inexplicably changed the price—not once, but three times. First to $250, then $275, and finally she refused to give any definite number at all. Her justification? That she wasn’t making money on the fabric sale, so the quoted and advertised price didn’t apply. That’s not just bad business—it’s dishonest.

Even when I agreed to pay the higher price of $250 just to move forward, she still wouldn’t commit to a final cost. The lack of transparency, flexibility, and professionalism was astounding.

In the end, I wasted over two hours of my time on a Sunday and left without the service—because the owner lost a sale over $25 and refused to honor her own employee’s quote. This is not how you treat customers.

This time my wife purchased a pair of Isle Jacobsen HornbÆk shoes (designed in Denmark), she is beyond happy with the purchase!
