It's under new management recently (as of April 2024) but the name hasn't changed, and the inventory is FANTASTIC. Excellent selection of Spanish and French goodies (with more emphasis on the Spain side, I might add) and possibly the best Iberian wine shop in Seattle proper. (They have Toro, Rioja, Priorat...and every region is well-represented with reasonably priced bottles.) I also enjoyed talking to the staff about their favorite finds. Highly recommend!

In addition to an amazing selection of specialty foods and treats from Spain and France, cured meats and cheeses. They have selected a fine array of wines from France, Portugal, Spain and from some small producers in Chile. Beautiful hand painted pottery is worth the visit, and cookbooks - especially for Paella. Several distinct types of Spanish hot chocolate - which you know as the best if you had much in Spain.

Happy but a bit sad at the same time. Owners announced they closed since 02/01/2024 since they are retiring. This is one of the nice non-gentrified place I can find in Seattle. All the wines are of good reasonable prices and I just blindly followed the recommendations! The next owner is harvest vine, a great BUT pricy tapas restaurant(almost over 70 per person) so I hope this place will stay not so expensive.

It is really great to have this shop in Seattle. Growing up in a Spanish family, it has been really awesome to have a shop that has most of the staples we love from Spain. This shop stocks all of the options you would typically have to mail order and then some. They have authentic charcuterie options, like Jamón Serrano, Jamón Iberico, Chorizos, Morcilla, great conservas options, including Ortiz and Arroyabe tuna, Spanish olives and many other cheese and snack options. They also carry many Sherry and Manzanilla options, and also many different Port wine options as well. They also carry a large selection of Spanish wines. They also stock a lot of authentic pottery, including cazuelas and Sangria pitchers. They also have many different sizes of Paella pans. On top of all of that, the employees are all very helpful and friendly. Definitely a must stop if you enjoy Spanish...

Beautiful little shop with plenty of the real good products of France, but my problem comes from the cheese service. Asked the young lady there to give me a 100 gr of beaufort, first forget about the metric system she didn't have a clue how much that was, second she didn't know which cheese I was talking about... Finally the worst part, she cut the cheese in the wrong way, and basically gave me the hard crust... On a tiny piece of cheese, about 70 % of it was crust... And its not from the lack of option in which to cut the cheese as the original had more than enough to be able to cut without giving the client the all too crust of it... Really though the older lady was going to say something about...

At first I was very sad to hear that the previous owners had retired and sold the business. One of the best, if not THE best authentic, family- owned, non- corporate stores in Seattle. However, the new owners shared my appreciation for this place and are forging ahead, committed to authentic Spanish and French products that are not available elsewhere. Great French and Spanish wine selection, meats and cheeses, even real Iberico ham if this matters to you. It does to me! If I want to make Paella, all of the most important ingredients are here(save the fresh seafood and vegetables- which are a few steps away up to Pike Place Market). Seattleites should support this place....
