Two years ago my husband purchased my wedding ring from here as a upgrade/christmas gift. two months after getting the ring a stone fell out. took it back and they fixed it but had to call to see if it was back because they never called. a few months later another stone fell out took it back and they fixed it and again i had to call to see if it was ready. this past June the whole center stone and mount fell off and I heard it hit the floor so I took it and they so called fixed it here it is 6 months later and it has fallen off again. where it fell I don't know just happened to look at my hand and it was gone. Went to Grand Jewelers today to try and get my ring fixed, they told me since I don't have the center stone there is nothing they can do about it. The lifetime warranty only covers the ring if it is a missing stone or I have the piece that has fallen off. We asked if they can just swap the ring out with the same or equal value ring and they told us no they would give us $1,500 and I would have to upgrade the ring for twice the amount that they were gonna give us for my ring. Even said even if I had the center stone they would give me $2,500 and I would still have to pay for an upgrade. The salesman also looked us dead in our face and said we have had people come back a week later with missing stones. why would you tell that to a customer. It's telling me your jewelry is poor quality. I have had nothing but problems with this ring since my husband purchased the ring. Sorry Grand Jewelers that is not a lifetime warranty and since you wont do anything to help me get my ring fixed I will no longer support your business. I asked him if there was a fee for early pay off because after the 101 days there is crazy interest, he said yes, 5%. I told him forget it, I rather put it on my own credit card, he said he would take off the $100 for the difference of that fee so that I would continue on with the loan. I'm sure they get a spiff for it. He said I had to pay $84 up front. I specifically asked AJ if this goes towards the balance, he said YES. Because again, if it was anything extra I had to pay towards the cost of the chain I would have just paid for it outright. HE LIED. The $84 you are paying is the "admin fee" they are charging. My friend did the same payment plan and told her the same thing! When she went back to them they told her she had misunderstood. There is no misunderstanding - they lied to our faces. The product is nice, but I will never go back to them because they are not honest. Also, when I called the loan company to change the terms so it was 2 split payments and paid off within 2 months, they never saved the terms. I was so frustrated with them I just paid it off right then and there so I would no longer have to deal with them. They are not honest. She proposed with it May 19 , 2018 and a week later two diamonds fell out.... this was the beginning of what has been the most aggravating and disappointing year and almost two months. Since I first got this ring I have had to bring it back and leave it for 10 missing diamonds ...... I literally dropped it off a week ago and picked it up yesterday with a brown colored diamond in place of one of the two that were missing and then today the other one they just replaced is gone..... we have just dropped it off again less than 24 hrs after picking it up...... the explanation for the little small dirty looking diamond was that they fixed it in the store as opposed to sending it to the manufacturer to have it fixed and that’s why the diamond doesn’t match he says.....
