This was one of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had in my life.
I have a surgery coming up and just passed a major class in school, so wanted somewhere to go and have both my last "hurrah" for some time as well as to celebrate. I was craving both oysters and steak and in my search, came across this restaurant.
I called and clarified that their oysters are indeed raw and set a reservation for 5:30 for my partner and I. When we walked in, the band was getting set up and it was relatively open. We we seated in a 6 top booth which made me worried that we would be rushed to head out the door only being a two top. Our waitress, Deasha, introduced herself and took our drink orders. Since I knew what I wanted, I was very specific, which I hope didn't come off as demanding; a glass of the white with oysters to start and a bottle of the red for my partner and I to enjoy with our entrees. My glass of white came out just shortly before the oysters and I was so pleasantly surprised with the presentation. I am not a fan of tabasco sauce, but it had a little mini-bottle which I took with me as a memory token. The oysters were fresh and amazing. I ordered the steak and my partner got the ribs. We were both shocked by the size of the ribs. The only negative about my experience is that I asked for my steak to be medium rare and it seems as if their flat top was uneven in heating because even though some parts of my steak were medium rare, most of it was medium well. I debated sending it back until I tasted it and it was so delicious that I didn't want to wait to finish it. Had it been consistent in temperature through out, I definitely would have given 5 stars. I again worried that once we got our food that we would start being pressured to leave, especially since the place was starting to get very busy since it was Friday night, but Deasha only ensured that we had our waters filled and that we were doing okay.
While I was fighting to take my last bite, she came and offered a to go box and I asked what the options for dessert were. She named them and since I was so full, I asked for the check. After a full minute, I decided I was there for the full experience and apologized, but asked for the key lime pie.
Oh. My. Word. This thing was the size of almost a quarter of a pie pan. It tasted so fresh and had that extra tart flavor that I know many may not appreciate, but I sure did. It opened a second layer to my stomach that allowed me to enjoy a few bites before boxing that up and taking it home with us as well.
I do not frequent fancier restaurants, but this was well worth the splurge. I say, if you're thinking of coming here, ensure you are taking full advantage of all three courses and pairing it with some of their delicious wines that you can take with you if you don't finish the bottle (and don't forget to tip your waiter!). I hope that my surgery will be a success and that I finish out my next class with even higher remarks so I can justify my return and hopefully get to sit with...

Ordered calamari with extra lemons. I got calamari with not a single lemon. Ok no biggie. Then we got the driest Caesar salad with barely any dressing and brown wilted lettuce. The actual waitress is nice but she never served our food so do I tip her 25% when she didn’t do more than take my order? It doesn’t usually bother me but when the bus boy brings the food and holds the dishes and EXPECTs you to move your salad plate so he can put it down. That pisses me of. I also ordered a salad to be split and they didn't separate the salad and doesn’t bring an extra plate for me to plate it. Then it took about 10-15 mins for him to bring an extra plate, so we just took the salad and used a bread dish and split it ourselves. Also there was no bread, not sure what that plate was for. The prime rib was room temp BORDERLINE COOL. I hope I don’t get a stomach ache from this. I will not return. They try to disguise this place as classy but they can’t keep up the lowest standards. I normally only tip 15 % when service is bad. 20 % is the bare min I usually tip. Ugh so disappointing. She got a 15% not cuz she did anything. Her asking if I wanted a Coke refill when I was signing the credit card bill was funny. The entire time never refilled our drinks but waited till our bill was paid. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert. Trout has no seasoning neither does the spinach. Not even a lick of salt. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? The mashed potato was 10/10! That was delicious. No acknowledgment of Birthday but it’s ok we wanted to gtfo asap it was so mediocre They never cleared our salad plates. My plate looks empty it’s because I packed up the food to give away cuz I took two bites and felt off. Gave the rest to our dogs. There's prob a reason why MORE THAN 3/4 of the...

Its part of their regular conversation and no one has said anything. They new one of the servers as they called her by name. I wasnt sitting too close so I know the staff had to hear them.
Bartenders are great except they missed one step, checking on my food after it arrived. No check back until half way through the meal. Although, the bartenders most likely felt I would say something if there was an issue, I would still like a professional curtisy checkback within two minutes.
Two different tables behind me recieved their entrees before they were not even half way done with the apps. Horrible timing on either the server or kitchen. Manager with the jacket delivered the entrees on one of the tables and mentioned the entrees came out quick.
I ordered the swordfish which came out great and there was a little sauce on it. There was about 2 tablespoons of sauce. I liked the sauce and as the sword fish was a thin cut so it was a little dry. The portion size was good 7-8 oz. It needed more sauce if you are going to have a thin portion
Tired of hearing the F bomb. Time to leave ruined my enjoyment of the good music.
Just got my bill. Had to ask for an itemized. Really!! After he ran my card. And he charged me for the two guys next to me. $75. They paid my tab and I got theirs. But what irritated me was he said it was only $1 off between the two and in reality it was a total of 15.00 and either he was lying to cover up or he really didn't know in which case the bar was so slow he should know exactly what each customer has on their ticket.
Bartender was polite but not a good end. Asked the bartender twice for a void confirmation of my first card swipe. Manager came over and while she couldn't print it out gave me her card and a complimentary gift card. Thank...
