We visited Bonchon on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 PM and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The restaurant was quiet at that time, which made for a peaceful and relaxed meal. Despite being empty, the service was absolutely spot-on—our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and quick with everything we needed.
Parking was easy and plentiful right outside the restaurant, and there was no shortage of seating inside either. The dining area offered a mix of regular tables, chairs, and comfortable booths. Everything was clean and well-kept, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere.
The menu had a wide range of options, making it hard to choose—but everything we ordered turned out to be absolutely delicious. We went with a 16-piece wings combo (a mix of wings and drumsticks), an additional 4 drumsticks, and tteokbokki. The portions were very generous and super filling.
The standout was definitely the chicken. It was tender and juicy on the inside, and the batter was perfectly crisp—light and crunchy without being overwhelming. Impressively, the crispiness held up throughout the entire meal, unlike other locations we’ve tried where the batter tends to get thick and rubbery. This Bonchon location really nailed it!
We chose the soy garlic flavor, which was incredibly savory and rich. I also highly recommend the yangnyeom flavor if you’re looking for a sweet-and-spicy kick that’s flavorful without being overpowering.
We loved the food so much that we couldn’t resist ordering another 16-piece wings combo to go!
The interior of the restaurant was vibrant but not overly stimulating—just the right balance of energy and comfort. It’s a great place to relax with friends and enjoy quality Korean fried chicken and other Korean comfort foods.
Overall, this Bonchon location exceeded expectations in every way: excellent food, perfect service, and a clean, inviting environment. We’ll definitely...
Read moreWow what an experience 👀let me start by saying that the pork buns were good and the kids were satisfied with their chicken wings and fries but as for what they allegedly specialize in thats a different story. So I order chicken katsa but the chicken was so tough like it had been cooked earlier for someone who decided They didn't want it and then refried to be hot enough to serve to me. I couldn't eat it plus the rice was overcooked and soggy. So they offered to make something else for me and I opted for the chicken fried rice which was slightly better but still they used that overcooked rice to make it smh. My friend ordered Bobimbap which they put soooooooooo much spice in that it literally hurt her stomach and she couldn't eat anything else for the night. As for service they were only slightly attentive as they more concerned about closing up shop for the night so we had to eat our food with them spraying chemicals next to us to clean tables and loud noises as they moved all the chairs out 30 min before closing. Not to mention that they decided to turn to the closed sign before they actually closed to deter any more customers from coming in. I hope they are not a franchise. They were nice enough to take off the food we didn't eat from our bill but I wouldn't recommend this place unless you were in desperate need...
Read moreThis was the worst Bonchon I've been to in the DC-Balt area. I've eaten at Bonchons in Fairfax, Rockville, and DC, and I can't imagine visiting this location again. Despite being the only sit-down patrons at the time (they were doing brisk takeout business), each of our three dishes came out 5-10 minutes apart from each other. The tteok-bokki came out in a black plastic dish like those glad containers you can get at Costco and the bibimbap came out in a cardboard container that you'd see holding fries or a hotdog at the ballpark. The sides of pickled radish and kimchi came to us in clear plastic containers. I've never seen a Bonchon serving sit-down customers with disposable containers before. It's quite difficult to eat bibimbap from a container designed to hold french fries. It was just too messy. The food was ok, but our entire experience was colored by the uneven service times and presentation. Staff was nice and pleasant. But even with a small order of wings, not worth the...
