Well, after reading the reviews, I see that the employees and management at the Victoria's Secret in Arundel Mills mall are rude to everyone and not just me.
Every year I visit this location around Thanksgiving. Typically, twice before Thanksgiving and maybe once after. Today I entered the store to get a few of the $25 perfumes that I buy every year. I was in the store for about 20 minutes before anyone said a word to me. I actually think I went up to a worker and asked a question before being acknowledged. There was a worker in the perfume section. She walked around me few times as I went from display to display smelling perfumes. I only came for Bombshell but wanted to smell the seasonal Bombshell scents that are out this year as well.
Issue 1. A young lady shopping with her mother dropped her frappuccino over near a wall display. The woman working the perfume section said "it's okay" went to the back to get something to clean it up and in could hear her on the way back loudly say "yeah you can get ... because I don't want to smell like coffee all day." She was telling a coworker to get something better than the wet wipes she grabbed. I could tell she was annoyed not only by the statement but her body language as she stood by the spill waiting for her co-worker.
Issue 2. I couldn't get any help up front so after I picked out the two fragrances I wanted I decided to look for a strapless bra to go with a dress I'm wearing black tie event I am attending next week. First there was only one person in the front of the store she was helping to ladies so I browsed before asking her to help me find a strapless bra. When I went to the back the 2nd issue was that they had one person working the back(panty section) and the dressing room. On the day before Thanksgiving!!!! That makes no sense.
Issue 3. I tried on two Very Sexy bras. The first was too small and wasnt supportive so I asked for another size. They gave me the wrong cup size but it perfect. They said they didn't have it in black so I tried another color with hopes of them contacting another store to find it in black. It fit great so I asked if I could order it or get it at another store. The associates in the dressing room said "no" they can only order it but it could take up to 7 days. I need the bra for next Thursday and wasn't willing to take the chance. I was over it as I'd been in the dressing room for about 45 mins trying on two bras.
Issue 4. I went to the register. I asked who I'm sure is the manager (Asian lady with bleach blond hair) if she could check to see if another VS has the bra in black in my size. She said no they all have different systems (Doesn't sound right for such a large chain to not be connected but okay) so I asked if she could call another store. She said "No, you can call another store." Incredibly rude.
Lastly, after I checked out I went on the floor and found the bra (after walking around aimlessly again for 5 minutes because none of the employees asked me if I needed help) in the correct size and color. Turns out they had it after all. The young lady from the dressing room( African American/slim/ long honey blond hair) had been moved up front and helped me find it. She'd called up front for them to pull it for me but they said they didn't have it
I AM going to call another store to see if they have everything I bought that way I can repurchase my items so I can return everything I purchased from this store(Arundel Mills).
To District Managment - Figure out what's going on in that store. Store Management is rude; therefore, the employees are rude. There was one more incident with her when I went to buy the bras since found them after I'd already purchased my perfume but I'm tired of typing. I will say that she has an attitude problem. This isn't my first bad experience at the Arundel Mills location or with that...
Read moreCame in today to shop for the new “so obsessed” bra. When I came in I selected a bra I wanted to try on because I was unsure of the fit. I headed back to the dressing room area with my husband and my son. Unfortunately there were no associates near by at all or in the dressing room area however the dressing rooms were open.
I started trying on the bra I selected and someone started putting keys in the door so I said “hello” and someone said “is there someone in here”. I replied to her that I was in there and that I was trying on a bra. She said “okay, If you don’t like it just leave it in the black bin”. All seemed fine.
As she exited the dressing room where my husband was with my baby she got on her mic and very rudely in front of him said “I HATE when customers just let themselves in”. My husband said “excuse me” as he knew she was talking about me, I was the only one in there. She then started to be unbelievably rude to my husband and myself. I asked her to stop speaking to my husband that way she she shooed us out with hand motions while rolling her eyes and being incredibly rude.
I won’t be returning to this location ever. Brianna, who was the woman yelling at myself and my family, honestly should not be working in customer service. Even her employees looked embarrassed and were apologizing for her. We went to Columbia which is a little further however the experience was night and day compared to the Arundel mills location. I suggest if you are in need, head on over to the Columbia store and ask for Karla. She...
Read moreI went in to buy a sweat suit, as soon as i walk in the door a lady ask me if im finding everything ok. I see that there is a panty sale going on so i stop to look at the panties. The same lady comes over and ask again, "are you find everything ok?" I say yes and continue looking. After a few seconds she comes back AGAIN and ask if im finding everything ok. At this point im trying to be polite so i say "yes, im just trying to look at the panties". So i go over to the sweat suits. I look up and shes still at the panty table. I see that shes looking for me!!! She whispers something into her headset WHILE STARING AT ME!!! and sure enough a few seconds later another person starts asking "are you finding everything ok?" I did absolutely nothing suspicious. All i did was come in with the intention of buying some panties and a sweatsuit. I felt disgusting. But to make sure i wasnt just overreacting, i asked to try the sweat suit on. The employee grabbed my bag, took everything out and loudly said "YOU CAN ONLY TRY ON TWO ITEMS AT A TIME I'LL HOLD THESE HERE FOR YOU". but she let someone in before me with a whole bag full of stuff to try on. I threw the sweat suit on the floor and said "f#%* you and this store" in a low voice and left. I was followed from the moment i walked in. I hate to bring up race but thats the only reason i could think i was followed. And i have a friend who works there. She told me "i was told by my manager once to follow black people until they make a sale" never ever going...
