We highly recommend the Collin 5-Piece Sectional from American Signature Furniture! After visiting multiple storesāfrom budget-friendly Rooms to Go to the higher-end Havertysāweāre confident we made the right choice.
Comfort & Design: This sectional is incredibly soft, with plush, comfortable cushions. Thereās ample space to put your feet up, even without an ottoman, and you can stretch out in multiple directions. My husband, who is over 6 feet tall, has plenty of room to lounge comfortably. We also tend to gravitate towards the corner of the sectional and can both sit side by side and snuggle there comfortably.
We opted for a custom fabric, Liv Onyx, which has a stylish woven texture. We absolutely love the look, but if you prefer lower maintenance, chenille or boucle may be better choices. The woven fabric tends to attract crumbs and lint, requiring more frequent cleaning. Liv Onyx is marketed as a black fabric, but I would say it's more of a dark gray (see photos).
The couch comes with pillows, but I added my own to complement the look and make it even cozier. The plastic protectors in the photos are there to protect the couch corners from our cats (purchased from Amazon).
Assembly: Assembly was not too difficult, but it does require two people to move each piece comfortably. Youāll need basic hand tools or a drill to adjust the interlocking pieces on the bottom of the sectional. The entire processāunloading and assemblingātakes about 30 minutes to an hour.
Ordering & Delivery: Custom orders typically take 90ā120 days, but we were pleasantly surprised to receive ours in just 60 days after ordering during the Pre-Black Friday Sale (Nov. 25) and picking it up on Jan. 25.
A word of caution Do not rely on the online order trackerāitās inaccurate. Instead, speak directly with a store representative to confirm pickup availability.
Pricing & Warranty -Our sectional (custom fabric & hybrid comfort cushions): Just under $4,000 (includes tax and Pre-Black Friday sale discount) -Standard fabric & cushions: Under $3,000 (before tax) -Ottoman: Not included in our purchase -Extended warranty: A few hundred dollars extra. Itās a great deal if you plan to purchase more ASF furniture in the future. We did not purchase the extended warranty. -Delivery: I think this is around $200. We did not opt for delivery and picked up ourselves.
Customer Service & Pickup Experience: The store manager, Cherice, was fantastic! When a snowstorm delayed our order, we rented a truck for pickup only to find it wasnāt ready. Cherice resolved the issue by reimbursing our rental cost and ensuring it was prioritized for the next delivery. The entire teamāCherice, Vee, Naomi, and Jayāwas incredibly helpful and attentive.
One suggestion for improvement: The store should hire an additional staff member for pickups. There was only one person handling all pickups and furniture loading, which made the process slower.
Final Thoughts: Despite the miscommunication with pickup, we love our new sectional and look forward to enjoying it for years to come. If youāre considering this piece, we highly recommend both the sectional and the great team at American...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG!!!!!!! BUYING FURNITURE???? READ THIS!!!!!!! Where do I start? Well I guess I will start at the beginning.... Me and my boyfriend just got a new townhouse and wanted to start over with all new furniture. We went to American Signature Furniture Smyrna location Sunday May 28, 2023 just to get an idea of what we may want. When we walked in we were greeted and given time to browse. While relaxing on one of the comfy couches we were greeted so pleasantly by a woman named Crystal. She was very sweet and REAL. I empathize REAL because when in sales you can deal with people who just want your money. We let Crystal know we wanted time to look around to make sure that the pieces we picked out were what we actually wanted. (She knew we would be back.... lol). Monday morning me and my boyfriend got up and started the furniture hunt. We went to three furniture stores that were located on 85 access road. (Nice stuff but the quality was questionable). We then went to rooms to go outlet and rooms to go the store. While at the store we fell in love with a couch that they almost got a sale on, HOWEVER...... The customer service felt fake and VERY pushy. Me and my boyfriend could not have a private conversation to discuss how we feel about the purchase. We left and went to the American Signature Duluth location. They were very nice but NOT like Crystal. They also had pretty much the same stuff but looking at it in a different set up helped a lot. We left there and went to Ashley's. We seen two couches that we like. The service was pushy and when I said I want to think about it The gentleman caught an attitude. I was getting very discouraged and felt like I should just wait. While driving we came upon The Dump (a furniture store). I found the bed I have been wanting so the guy helping us named David went to talk to his manager as the piece was delivered "today". David came back to tell us that we can get the bed on off the floor but would have to wait for some time for the dresser. I asked could I just have the dresser off the floor and was told NO with an attitude. I asked to speak to the manager to get a better understanding on why. Needless to say I left and will NEVER spend a dime with that brand. We get in the car and I tell my boyfriend lets go back to the Smyrna location American Signature just to look one last time.
We walk in and were greeted immediately by a few employees. I told them we were going to walk the store but we were looking for Crystal.
Crystal greeted us as if she knew us for years. Her energy and honesty is one of a kind. I cannot say it enough how big customer service is and Crystal is a great example.
The manager (CHarris.. I believe) is AMAZING as well. Although they want to make a sale they aren't trying to put you in a debt situation. I appreciate the hospitality that we received at this location and we will be back for other furniture in the future.
We ended up buying for Crystal so if you are reading this and looking to buy go see Crystal (Smyrna location) I promise you won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy ASF experience began at the Camp Creek location. 2 visits and the sales associate didnāt seem interested, so I never purchased.
Decided to try Smyrna location and the third time was a charm- the experience was refreshing. The sales associate was eager and pleasant.
I already knew what I wanted because I saw the item at the Camp Creek location. I ended up getting additional items- because the sales associate truly sold me on them.
Then everything went downhill. Delivery time comes and my delivery ETA changed, 2-3 times. That part wasnāt frustrating it was the rude communication from the associate who coordinated deliveries.
On delivery day, Iām still in the middle of moving and still unpacking other items while the delivery team is unloading and setting things up. I told them where everything should go, walked through each room with the main guy.
Before they left the main guy informed me that the top of my dining table was not on the truck but they made a call and that I should receive it before the end of day. I appreciated the communication.
The delivery men are finished and leave. I was in another room and I finally noticed that #1) The doors of my home were left open- not unlocked, but opened, #2) My HEAVY dresser was never placed in my bedroom, #3) They left the packing items (Styrofoam, nails, tools, plastic, etc) from my bed all over my bedroom, and #4) They left TWO moving blankets on my deck.
I was in the middle of a move and new job and it wasnāt until I had my first visitor, a couple of weeks later, when I noticed that I still didnāt have the top to my dining room. I began calling the Smyrna location and was told that another location handled the delivery.
I called the Duluth location and the same curt associate, who was rude about the original delivery times, was my first point of contact and she was rude again. Now at this point there were more than 3 strikes so Iām getting frustrated. I finally reach someone nice and they said a manager would reach out before EOD. I was thankful and awaited the call. It never came that day, or the following day. I finally get a random voicemail days later saying the manager was going to reach out. THAT voicemail was on 6/28. No one has reached out.
My move day was 5/16. It is 7/6 and I still donāt have a the glass top for my dining room table nor an apology for this experience. Iāve used this company for years and Iām sure the amount of money that I have spent is a drop in the bucket but loyal customers do yield consistent revenue.
2 stars because the sales and purchase experience at Smyrna was good but everything else was a bit...
