The Book Loft — Local services in Solvang

As a lifetime local of Santa Barbara we grew up on another local bookstore. This place The Book Loft gives the same vibes but ORGANIZED! The children’s section is a blessing where you can find books by type. Which as a mom with two kids with vastly different age ranges for books find what I need without spending all day is wonderful! The picture books were super easy to find and pick from while the board books for littles were easily accessible for my toddler to look at on the shelves at her own eye level and choose from. The store owner Donna is friendly and knowledgeable. The bonus frequent buyer points program is an added bonus too. We will definitely be spending more time here now that we live in the valley. A profound craving for puff pastries and Danish-themed architecture took fanatic hold on my soul, so the only reasonable destination was Solvang, California. Delightful little town, with an absolute jewel of a bookshop, The Book Loft! I stood exterior of the shop nibbling the finale of my sweet pastries, and once the last crumb was savored I wiped my paws upon my corduroy trousers and stepped inside its doors. Gorgeous! I found my way to upper level, where the used books are housed, and to my great excitation, I found a superfluous number of P. G. Such a wonderful bookstore! I don't get to come to Solvang very often but I always like to stop in here when I do. It's so neatly organized! I love how the staff have recommendation cards around the store and thanks to one of them I found a book that sounds like it's just my type. Despite having been here a couple times I've never had time to go to the second floor so I look forward to trying to do that next time :-). Up front they have a section with art and writing supplies as well as a neat assortment of stickers (one of which I purchased)! Sort of towards the back and to the right of the store they also have a really nice board game section. Highly recommend...
