There was no easier vendor to work with during our wedding planning process than Talena and Jim at Premiere Entertainment. We could not be more pleased with their professional attitudes, attention to detail, and the quality experience they executed on our special day.

We met Talena at a bridal expo at the Trapp Family Lodge two years before our wedding and were very impressed with Talena’s experience, abilities, and price. We knew right away that she and her team were the right people to take on our wedding—which was a bit more complicated than most being an outdoor wedding with two separate locations that required music.

Talena did an excellent job speedily replying to any and all of our questions along the way, never making us feel guilty for contacting her repeatedly to confirm details. She continually made us feel comfortable with our choice to go with Premiere whenever we had concerns about the transition from our cocktail hour to the reception.

When we met in person, this was taken a step further as we were able to meet Jim, our DJ for the day. He told us about his extensive experience and we knew his charming, professional attitude would be well received by our guests.

Jim rolled with the punches and was able to assist us with several unusual requests: First, he made sure our cocktail hour music slowly transitioned to music coming from our reception tent. Second, he had to deal with excessive rain that had accumulated in our tent over a very wet summer. Third, he carefully watched us to make sure he only played our requested songs while we were actually IN the tent to enjoy them (kudos!), and finally, he worked with my father who performed an original set list down in the reception tent. Jim took all of these details seriously and was happy to work with us to ensure smooth transitions, thoughtful song choices, and even went out of his way to give us a big hug and “congratulations” before we left!

We would recommend Jim, Talena, and the Premiere Entertainment crew to anyone who is considering putting on an event of any kind. We could NOT have made a better choice in a wedding DJ! I first heard of Premier Entertainment from a bridal expo at The Essex and from my very first contact with them they were super attentive and kind, and very knowledgeable. Talena was my contact throughout the planning process, and Jim (also knows as “DJ JIM” to our wedding party who loved him) was our DJ for the day of. We met both of them in person prior to the wedding for a quick, easy, and painless planning check-in. Both were so nice and totally ready to make the music/audio exactly as we wanted it. Talena was very clear on everything we needed to know and what she would need from us, and she responded to all of my emails lighting fast which I appreciated SO much. A couple months prior to wedding day she emailed us an electronic survey to fill out with the layout of the day and all our song choices, which was so easy to do online. They also were totally flexible and rolled with it even when I chose a ceremony intro song very last minute a couple days before the wedding. Right before the wedding Jim contacted us just to check in and let us know he had everything he needed. After that it was a breeze, he just showed up and set up and needed nothing from me, and he connected with our officiant and our wedding coordinator with the venue and I didn’t have to do a thing! Ceremony music was perfect and went seamlessly into reception music, he got folks organized for toasts I again had to do nothing and got to just enjoy it all! The dancing at the reception was fantastic, he played just what we wanted and totally read the crowd and also happily took all of our song requests. We did a lot of research on different vendors for our reception music, and I could not be more thankful that we landed on Premier Entertainment and had Talena at our wedding. My husband is a musician, so we thought a lot about live music vs a DJ, and in the end decided that a DJ made the most sense because we didn’t want any of our guests (or my husband!) to feel any pressure to play- not to mention the cost of all of the live bands we looked into was very high. Premier entertainment was so reasonably priced, and throughout the whole process Talena was so patient with us and helped guide us in our decision-making. I forgot that most people get shy when it comes to dancing at weddings, and I credit Talena fully for getting the party started- I saw friends and family dancing their hearts out who normally I could have never imagined dancing! We had some last-minute changes to the schedule and speeches, and she rolled with it like no problem. She truly observed our crowd and helped steer the music direction to keep everyone on the dance floor. We also had her mic our ceremony and play our recessional music, and I’m so happy that she was there for that as well! The lapel mic on our JP was perfect and was barely noticeable in photos while projecting perfectly so that the whole crowd could hear. It happened to turn out that Talena and our photographer were friends, and they helped me bustle my dress when those who originally were supposed to help me were having a bit too much fun and forgot!
