Vermont Pool and Bar — Local services in South Burlington

Super unfortunate visit to this establishment on May 17th. With a group of 6 people we were instantly greeted with a rude demeanor at the door. We brushed that off and proceeded to get our table equipment and was told to wait before approaching the bar to get a drink. After waiting at the table and seeing no one ordering a drink at the bar, a women and a gentleman working behind the bar right away was annoyed by me and two other friends come try and order a drink. We were then SCREAMED at by trying to explain two of us would be ordering the same drink while she was making it (trying to make her life easier). She proceeded to assume we weren’t on the same tab and my friend explained we were going to be paying on one tab. This is when the older gentleman chimed in and SCREAMED “We will not deal with any rude comments. We have had a long night”. My group was astonished by this interaction and we immediately said we don’t feel comfortable attempting to stay here and play after such disrespectful behavior by employees. I am here visiting my family from out of state. We wanted to go have a drink somewhere. I looked up places close to where I was staying and saw that Vermont Pool and Bar was open until midnight. I arrived at 1120 and took a seat at the bar. My family and I were greeted by a rude bartender who said they were closing.in 40 minutes and that they are not serving anyone. “Can’t you see that my lights are off? Was the response we reviewed from this unpleasant female. The sign clearly says they close at midnight and she said they were closed then. where is the logic or sense to this? I will not be recommending this place to anyone and I hope this review deters...

Went May 17th at 9pm, 7 of us wanted to play pool. We were immediately greeted with hostility. We brushed it off, calmed down and tried to order drinks. We were then, yelled at by an older male bartender who said they’ve had a long day and we can leave if we wanted to be rude… we were not rude. We tried to actually, make the older women bartenders life easier by ordering two drinks at a time. Unfortunately I enjoyed this place but with that type of hostility I will not be returning.
