Becky's Place — Local services in South Padre Island

Store was arraigned nicely, but, the Help was so rude, I told her she was rude and I would not spend money in this store, so she told my group of 3 that we were not the type of clients she wanted in her store and called the police on us. The police found us at the next store we were shopping and spending good money at. They were told by the Becky's Sales girl that we cussed, yelled and threatened her (Not True) The police after listening to our side of what happened Told us it was best not to return to the store ever as this is not the first time they have been called from that store about a customer not will to allow the rude salesperson(Owner) to treat them poorly.

This was last year but I forgot to post. As Becky’s is located on a resort island, it goes to say that not all shoppers are going to be dressed to the nines 24 hours/day. I was more than presentable, but proprietor was very dismissive - looking at my attire with disapproval. When I looked at a Polo Blouse she said, oh you know that’s very expensive. Real Pretty Girl moment. Against my better judgment I bought the $175.00 overpriced blouse and will never ever go back there. I guess unless you’re a rich Mexican National or obviously dressed up to shop, you’ll be treated like dirt. I took my money elsewhere. The treatment however passive was insulting. I have been shopping @ Becky's Place many years. My last shopping spree there was 2018. . Many beautiful clothes, vibrant colors. Previous review that you can get better clothes for less at ROSS is an insult to Becky's. Their HIGH END clothing is pretty reasonable for the quality . I had my young grandsons with me and the owner was very pleasant .One fell asleep on the comfy couch in the seating area. The only problem I had was making the decision as to what to buy as I loved almost everything. Her clothes and accessories meet the needs and are appealing to all age groups.I'm a young senior and love vibrant colours. Ill be back this Dec. 2020 and hope Becky's is open!!!!
