I love Big 5 generally but do yourself a favor and drive to Orem or American Fork. The Spanish Fork staff is never friendly but usually tolerable. After dealing with a fellow by the name of Alfredo yesterday, I won't be back in this store. After visiting Orem and realizing that Spanish Fork was the only store with the right size of a specific shoe in stock, I went there. I had a coupon in an email honoring the Black Friday price through Saturday, Nov 30. Alfredo hadn't seen this before and instead of investigating, just said they couldn't do it. I left the store and reviewed the coupon again to see if it should apply. Sure enough, all the details were there and it even mentioned that the associate would need to do a manual price override. I walked back in, making it a point to be very polite and pointing out that the coupon is valid and if he didn't know about it, maybe he could get someone who does. He took my phone and reviewed the coupon, to which he then stated, "I guess I'll do it for you. Go grab the shoes again." There was another employee at the register and not a single other customer in the store, yet he didn't even offer to go get the shoes and he's acting like I'm taking money directly from his pocket. Alfredo provided a ridiculous level of customer service and I will not be back...
Read moreI have usually gotten pretty good service at this location. However, today was not one of those days. One of the incentives that Big 5 offers to get people into their stores is something called their their "Daily Deals". I have gotten them on several occasions, and if something was gone, or out of stock, multiple times they have offered for me to order it to the store, at the advertised price.
Well, after waiting a while to get some help, a manager told me that the item that was advertised in their daily deal was out of stock, and she also said that they could not order it in at that same price, just the regular price. I was a bit ticked off, since I had waited about 10 minutes for someone to help me, only to find out they didn't have it, and on top of that, they would not honor the price. I noticed that the original coupon (not mentioned at all in the email deal, just in the fine print on a link you click) says that the price is limited to the stock on hand, but really? The inconsistency is just a bad customer service move, guys. I'll be shopping elsewhere...
Read moreIm so irritated 😤 . I came in to get a pool for my kids I get home and I take it out of my car and I find 2 mark down stickers on it. ( I DIDNT GRAB THE POOL AND I didnt load the pool in my car the employee did!) Well then I called just double check about it and tell them about it they say BRING IT BACK WE WILL FIX the price. So I load up my small kids back in the car drive the 40 miles back !!!! And I get there and they say oh ODK about that thats to much of a drop in price!. We cant change it 😤 ok well you could of said that on the phone !!!!! Just blamed that the employee that told me that was a part time employee ! Well isn't your job to train ALL your employees 🙄 part time or not. Is so frustrating also it felt like they thought I put the sticker on my self with out even touching the pool ! From the moment I got to the store till I got home !!! Maybe someone else did do that but how is that my concern especially if I CALLED AND YOU SAID TO COME BACK...
