I’ve been shopping at Uptown for years! Obviously not this location… now I’ve held off leaving a review because I try to give a fair chance and enough time to really feel things out. I’m just going to be honest. Their selection…. Is not great. I’ve tried to sell to them, name brands like Lululemon, Rag & Bone, Michael Kors, Steve Madden, Free People, Urban Outfitters. I’m not even mad that they didn’t purchase my clothes… my qualms lie with the quality of clothes they ARE choosing to buy. I’ve tried to shop here more than a handful of times and end up only lasting ten minutes. I come across Costco pajama pants without their tie, sweaters pilling to death, sherpa coats that are matted to oblivion. It’s just confusing. I’ve been to almost every Uptown in Utah and several in Arizona and thus far, this one is just…. Not it. Why are they buying the cheapest thing they can find? It’s almost like they have a quantity over quality mindset and I think it’ll start to bite them if they don’t figure out that shoppers are looking for quality items. If they weren’t they’d be happy to take their business to DI. Eh…. It’s subpar. The service is typically okay, but this time, no “hello” cashier seemed peeved I didn’t know which computer she would be using. So disappointing because I spend an ungodly amount at uptown’s and this one will not be getting...
Read moreI’ve donated here for the last year and usually have really good experiences… However, I told them, as I always do, to NOT donate the clothes they choose to not buy. I always donate the remainder of MY clothes, myself.
Welp. I got a text that they ended up “donating” my 3 pairs of Calvin Klein, and American Eagle jeans along with two shirts.
We all know very well that 3 pairs of clean, barely worn name brand jeans aren’t getting “donated.” A lady even took me to the back to allow me to look in the donation bin for my things. Mind you, only an hour and a half went by from the time I dropped off the clothes to when I returned. No sign of them: which obviously means they stole my clothing and will be selling it.
They did NOT offer to compensate me either.
Don’t even get me started on how rude the girls are at the front counter. This really upset me as I know dang well those name brand jeans aren’t getting donated, they’re going to get sold for $20 each and I got freaking $6 for my pair of boots I sold them (along with the clothes they...
Read moreIf you are thinking about selling your cloths here I would first take a good look at the reviews. I, like many others, have had a poor experience with this shop. Each time I’ve gone I’ve been met with poor customer service and workers that seem to have a chip on their shoulder. I’ve been 6 or so time trying to sell cloths and their buying counter is always closed. There is no rhyme or reason to why it is closed. Sometimes they have a sign up saying they are not buying, sometimes they don’t and when I bring my cloths in they are quick to snap and tell me it’s closed. I don’t know if it’s because the stores inventory is full or if it’s out of sheer laziness on the employees end. It’s unfortunate that they aren’t up to speed with the other stores yet. In my opinion you are better off driving to the orem location where you can sell & shop all in one trip instead of waiting for their slow disorganized system to get back to you in 1-3...
