DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Summit Township

My husband and myself really enjoyed shopping at this location. The salesperson, Jeffrey, was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and just the right amount of attentive. The store is well-kept and neatly organized. Everything has a place and it is in that place. It can all be easily accessed to clearly see and/or touch fabrics when needed. While we were shopping, Jeffery was keeping himself busy with tasks like arranging, light cleaning, folding, and the like. I say this to explain he wasn't hovering, but we were able to get help when needed and it's probably one of the reasons the store looks as good as it does. We had been adding items up as we were shopping, but the total surprised us. We grabbed a couple impulse items (an extra shirt, etc) on the way to the register that were not on sale and he had absolutely no issues going back over the tally and making sure that 1 - we weren't one short on a "Mix-and-Match" and 2 - reviewing the individual prices. I write this as we are about 2.5yrs into this pandemic and customer service and general merchandise quality seem to be lacking at a massive amount of establishments with high turnover and other retailers doing "clearance" that isn't really clearance - it's just pre-pandemic pricing. I do have to add that I don't believe the prices were increased like I've seen everywhere. It all seemed relatively reasonable for what you're buying. They also carry a variety of styles from super casual to corporate attire. This includes distressed jeans, graphic tees, polo shirts, tropical button downs, khakis, shorts, slacks, etc and they had most everything that we saw up to 6XL or 7XL. Jeff informed us that if there was something that we needed we could order it, ring it up with our in-store items, and have it shipped to us. We were told it was free shipping at the time of this review... not sure if that was because of our total or if it's always free. All-in-all whenever I am in the area I will visit this location again and encourage others to do so as well. The variety of available textures, prints, and cuts/looks means that you don't have to sacrifice comfort and fit for style. Very helpful staff. Worked with me every step of the buying process. I have lost weight and didn't know what sizes I needed. We worked on it until we found out all of the sizes that I needed. Purchased a suit and tie along with a couple of shirts. Don't need the suit until the end of November. What a difference an employee makes. My first visit was spectacular because of the assistance I received from the store attendant. My second visit not so good.....the male attendant didn't leave the register, leaned on the counter and pointed me in the direction of the items I described. Next time I will peak in the door before I shop.
