GameStop — Local services in Summit Township

VERY DISSATISFIED with my experience here. I sold a console to this store and bought another console, as well as several accessories and games on the same day. I was told they were running a deal where NBA2K20 was only $30 so I figured I would buy it while I was there. Come to find out that online the game was less than $20. Called about returning the game and they gave me a hard time and said they could only do store credit for it. I also planned to return a pre-owned game since it was within the 7 day period. When they were processing my return they tried to give me store credit for BOTH games without asking if I would like my card refunded for the pre-owned game amount. When I asked why the gentleman was not refunding my card for that game he tried to tell me I did not reach the value of my trade-ins therefore they could not refund my card for the pre-owned game. After I questioned him on this and asked why he would not refund my card (it was within 7 days of purchasing which is their "policy") he refunded my card no problem. Huge thank you to the employees at this GameStop location!!!! I went to trade in my Nintendo Switch at the Harborcreek location and was told that there were a few scratches beside the screen protector and the employee said that it would need to be taken in as defective. I was advised to take it to the mall location since "they would probably buy it for full price since they need things to sell." On the way up, I stopped at this location since I had a good experience previously purchasing ps5 games. I took in the console and explained to them what happened and tried to point out the scratches. They got a kick out of it saying it was as pristine as it could get for a used console. Both of them were looking at it and trying to find a single scratch. I was kinda annoyed that I had to take it all the way up to the other locations to trade in a fully functional, barely used, looking good Nintendo Switch. I really appreciate the time they took to help me considering it was busy and keeping me from having to drive to the third GameStop location in Erie. 10/10 will go back...

This game stop is relatively close to the mall and a couple other plazas, so if you have other errands to run it is in a convenient location. my boyfriend and I stopped in there not too long ago just to kill some time before watching a movie (as it was right across the street) and it was a clean GameStop with awesome games/toys/art just like any other. What really set this store apart from the other game stops I've been to was the single staff member in the store. He was very knowledgeable and informative but above all else he was very friendly and easy to talk to. He was a delight to converse with about the new systems/games coming to the GameStop soon, and he was fun to joke around with about some of the little gag toys they have in the front. 10/10 would visit this game stop again just to make sure that employee always gets commission off of me.
