Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere was a hastily made, sign at the front of the store that seemed to indicate that I should go to the back of the store to get my pickup. Annoyed, I obliged the poorly conceived and less impressively executed ink-jet printer sign.
I was annoyed as I was in a hurry, I had put in a pickup order to minimize my time in-store. Now I felt I was being forced to walk through the store, likely to get me to buy more, I don't appreciate being railroaded.
Upon reaching the back of the store the person at the desk looked at my screen and informed me that I was in the wrong spot, I needed to be in the front, where I saw the sign. Upon returning to the front of the store, I checked the sign which had been attached with tape to the well made Kohl's sign, the intentions of this poorly worded sign were still less that fully apparent. As I approach the customer service desk what I received was far less than service and was certainly not respectful of me, the customer. As I smile and said good morning, I the agent, who we will call RSA with my phone screen which had my Kohl's app up with my barcode for my Kohl's order ready to pickup. Without looking at my screen and with a skosh of side-eye, she tells me that Amazon is in the back. I said, I know I was just back there, they sent me to you. Then she again asked me if I had an Amazon order. My annoyance is now simmering to rage. I simply gave her a disappointed and nearly angry look as I turned my phone to ensure that the thing she needed was in fact on my screen and that it had not gone blank. Upon this confirmation, I gave her proper side eye and moved my screen closer to her, a non-verbal insistence that she do her job and look at my phone.
At this point she finally fumbles around to find the tricorder to scan my barcode. Just another 3 minutes before I had my package. To say this experience was unacceptable from a higher-end establishment such as Kohl's is an understatement. If I wanted sub-par, service from someone who didn't want to be bothered by me, I would shop at Walmart.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was standing in line waiting for customer service when I had to watch an extremely disrespectful customer service representative, Kay, help a customer. The customer was even toned and polite throughout the conversation. At one point Kay called over the manager who I didn't catch his name but he quickly accommodated all of the customers needs and helped the customer in such a timely manner. As the manager was walking away Kay yelled after him asking for a reason to put in the system and the manager said to put that he okayed it. She yelled back while the customer was still standing there along with us in line waiting for help that that wasn't a reason. I couldn't believe that she just mouthed off the manager in front everyone else and so loudly. After Kay finished the transaction and while the customer was putting her information away Kay said very loudly I am going to let everyone in the back know why I put that reason for this sale because it was a $100 off and that wasn't ok. I do want to identify that the day after black Friday and the store was a complete mess but the rest of the employees were all on the floor diligently cleaning and reorganizing the store. The rest of the employees seemed very happy and I have never seen anyone else at that store so angry. I hope that Kay has better days than today and today...
