Mr. Bill was absolutely incredible with my kiddo, who’s also on the autism spectrum and has often struggled in the past with haircuts. We’ve been searching for the barber—someone who could not only help us understand his hair’s unique texture and curl pattern so we could find styles that truly compliment his features, but also work with his specific communication and sensory needs.

Mr. Bill didn’t just give a haircut—he created an experience. He took ALL the time in the world to talk both to and with us, sharing knowledge, listening to my kiddo’s input, and making him feel completely included in every decision. This wasn’t just about hair—it was about culture, identity, and confidence. He celebrated my kiddo’s natural hair, taught us how to care for it, and helped him find a style that looks so sharp it should probably have its own fan club.

When I say this was a TOP SHELF, PREMIUM experience, I am not exaggerating one bit. From the cut and style, to the cultural knowledge shared, to the kindness and patience shown—this was one of the most enjoyable and meaningful moments my kiddo and I have shared together and it revolved around hair! It’s amazing how magic can be created in the everyday moments when someone uses their craft in remarkable ways.

I took my son to get his hair cut by Mr. Bill and the service he provided was awesome. When it comes to kid services, he’s very patient and informative. He communicates well with his clients and greets everyone that walks through his doors. My son and I will definitely be returning !

Update of my 2nd visit: So, with my first initial review I said that I would be returning and I did. I returned for loc maintenance/repair by Mrs. Toya. I love how she answered all of my questions that I had about my loc journey. She also educated me on do’s and don’ts with my hair. I absolutely love a stylist that promote healthy hair to their clients. She’s very professional, easy to communicate with, and makes sure her clients are comfortable for the duration of their appointment. It feels like I’ve struck a deal ! My barber of 17 years retired, so I’ve been anxiously trying to find my new place. Had some subpar experiences at a couple places, and then I decided to come see Mr. Bill. New places and people tend to make me feel on edge, but as soon as I entered Mr. Bill’s Barbershop I was greeted with a friendliness that put me at ease. He made me feel comfortable right away, and chatted with me like I’m a regular. He listened to my requests, talked me through everything he would do to give me a great cut, and I walked out feeling good and with a cut I really loved. There’s a friendly, family-oriented vibe inside and I appreciate the appointment only system Mr. Bill has.
