Being somewhat new to the area, I was very hesitant on taking my wedding ring to just anyone. The diamond belonged to my husbands great great grandmother. The band itself had cracked, and a few of the posts that held the diamond were worn down. This place came highly recommended. I took the ring in. The very kind sweet woman at the counter said the ring should be done in approximately 10 to 14 days. The promise date was on the receipt. One week after the promise date after not hearing from them, I gave them a call. A man answered the phone, he said that my ring was sitting there and he was going to get to it that day or the next, and he would call me. After another week had gone by, I decided to call. I spoke with a man. He said he still never got to it. I told him that I was beginning to feel concerned. His reply was “oh really.“ I was a bit taken back by that. This was Wednesday and he said it would be ready by Friday and he would call me when it was done. The following Tuesday after not hearing from them I decided to call again. This time my phone call was not answered. I immediately had my husband call from a different phone number. They picked up. He said that he would have it finished that day. When my husband walked in the front door and told the man his name, the man/jeweler said nothing but pointed towards the woman. My ring looks great, but I will never use this jeweler again, nor will I recommend them. I am never one to complain nor write reviews. I am merely writing this review to save someone else from grief and concern about their heirloom jewelry. Customer service and time management is definitely not this businesses,...
Read moreSo I was looking for a special ring for my daughter. Something that showed her personality but was within my budget. I had looked at several fine jewelry stores and everything seemed the same to me. I guess it is hard to make unique pieces. But finally at Baywatch they seemed to hear what I was looking. Rick and JoAnn asked me a lot of questions about my daughter and my ideas. They were able to design something truly special. My daughter loves the ring and wears it all the time! I love it too! And the price was better than expected for a custom design. I seldom do any business rating online, but I know others might be looking for something unique at a place with great customer service and I wanted them to know where to go = Baywatch on Tarpon Ave! After I wrote this review, I noticed someone had posted a comment about selling their gold or silver at Baywatch. That surprised me. I traded in some of mine and got a very competitive price. I think prices vary day to day on silver and gold. I checked online to see the current rate and checked around, so I knew the value when I traded them in. Do your due...
Read moreI came to repair a torn chain of white gold. Jeweler offered me for $20 new chain. I wondered why a gold chain could cost $20. The jeweler said that it is silver. I was outraged because it was bought as gold. a chain with a pendant with sapphires was purchased in France and has all the documents.
Then the Jeweler looked more closely and agreed that it was gold. This is the first time I meet a jeweler who cannot distinguish gold from silver and offers to exchange gold for silver with a surcharge of $20. I left the chain and waiting for the call. The term was 1 week. 2 weeks passed and I came to find out what was happening. The chain was not ready. I arrived in 3 weeks - the chain was not ready. As a result, I waited a month. Usually this work is done within 15 minutes. Now I see low-quality work. I do not understand why my chain at the junction bends in my hands. look a photo. Tomorrow I’ll go to another jeweler and find out what it really is. I want to say that I did a lot of jewelry repairs in my life, but I haven’t seen such long terms and poor...
