Down To Earth — Local services in Telluride

A while back, I was traveling w my partner and it was chilly. She never travels prepared so we sat down to dinner and the temp droppeddespitw the outdoor heaters. I couldn’t stand to see her visibly uncomfortable so I excused myself to go to the bathroom and spent 20 min running around the vicinity of the restaurant searching for a shop w warm sweaters that were decent but not $$$. The only shop I found open and near was this one. I made th mistake of sharing my situation w the owner. I ran in panting and in a rush. She had only a few sweaters. The only one that would fit my friend didn’t have a tag. I took it to the counter to buy and as she started to ring me up,I asked for a tag Bc I suddenly realized that I was in a vulnerable predicament where she could basically charge me whatever and I’d likely buy the sweater. Th sweater was just ok and honestly not something I’d expect in a high end boutique and certainly not something I would ever ever pay more than $30 for. I was shocked when she said $233 but the thought of going back to her and watching her shiver…well I bought the sweater. The more I thought about it th more upset I became that she had taken advantage of me and didn’t even show me a tag despite my asking for one. There were no other similar sweaters.
