We had an excellent dinner at Petite Maison. We have eaten at about half of the town's restaurants and this was among the best meals we have had. I had the pappardelle with mushrooms and my husband had the beef bourguignon. The pasta dish was incredibly flavorful, with a generous portion of mixed mushrooms in a fairly light Marsala cream sauce. The beef dish was a deconstructed version of the classic dish with a layer of very creamy potatoes, vegetables, and slow cooked beef, all topped with a rich wine sauce. The side of bread was a good accompaniment although the butter could have had more salt. We ordered two desserts: the creme brulee and the chocolate peanut butter delice. Both were delicious although the creme brulee seemed a bit loose in terms of texture and the peanut butter flavor was not as strong as expected in the delice. Still, we would order both again with a slight edge to the delice.
The service was friendly and reserved. The only negative for the meal was a woman at a neighboring table loudly talking on her phone for more than half of our meal. The restaurant staff is in an awkward position in such circumstances but it would have been nice if someone would have quietly asked her to take her discussion outside the restaurant. Petite Maison will be our choice in the future when we want a nicer meal when...
Read moreReally rude host/manager.
We reserved a seat and they placed us right next to a family and couple which is no big deal but the tables were VERY close together. She mentioned that the family spilling over into our seats were about to leave and we can scoot over (while pointing at them and implying they were an issue for us - which they clearly see). The family then asked “are we causing you guys an issue?” It was all a very uncomfortable experience.
I walked over to discreetly to say that we would like a table with a little more room for private conversation. She said the family would be gone soon and I said that would be great but if they stay for longer - we might go to a different spot. She said “well we do hold a credit card, so you will have to pay that”. I said okay, no problem but if we wait 20 minutes and they are still there… it’s just too close and we will need to find another spot. She replied “ you should do what you guys want and leave”. A very rude way to address a customer.
As we leave, I once again apologized if I messed with the flow and she did not even look at me and walked away. An unacceptable way to act as a manager. Will not...

Petite Maison is a true hidden gem in Telluride—a cozy, intimate spot that delivers a refined and memorable dining experience. The ambiance is warm and romantic, perfect for a date night or special occasion, with soft lighting, attentive service, and a relaxed yet elegant vibe.
The menu leans French-inspired, with thoughtful, seasonal touches throughout. The duck confit was beautifully done—crispy, tender, and full of flavor—and the escargot was some of the best we’ve had outside of France. The wine list is well-curated, and our server offered great pairing suggestions.
We’re giving 4 stars only because the pacing of service was a little slow between courses, and a couple of the side dishes didn’t quite match the excellence of the mains. That said, the attention to detail and passion coming from the kitchen is clear.
Petite Maison is a special place, and we’ll absolutely be back. A must-visit for anyone looking for elevated, intimate dining...
