Adam Mar — Local services in Town of East Hampton

Been meaning to leave this review for a while. I ordered a more budget-friendly board from Adam, over the phone to have it shipped to RI. He was waiting for it to arrive to the shop. After a couple months (pandemic related shipping issues) it finally arrived and he promptly sent it on to me. During this time Adam was corresponding frequently, keeping me posted on status. When the board got to me it was completely destroyed and unusable. The delivery driver said someone drove a forklift through it ... at least once. Anyway, I took pics, sent to Adam and sent it back to his shop. Without hesitation, he was on the phone with the delivery company and quickly set in motion a replacement. About a month later that replacement arrived and Adam, instead of shipping it again and risking another issue, suggested we meet in the middle. He drove 3 - 4 hours round trip out of his way to make sure I got the replacement board without issue. Again, this is one of the cheaper boards he sells and I am a first-time, infrequent customer. Even with all the issues, this was one of the best experiences I've had buying a surfboard ... for that matter anything. Adam went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. Locally owned awesome high-end surf shop , easily found right next to 🍕 pizza , brewery 🍺, and baseball fields. Plenty of parking.
