Absolutely unacceptable experience. When I went to check out, every item was being upcharged by around $5 more than the clearly advertised price. I questioned it, and was told by two employees—one of whom was extremely rude and unprofessional—that it was due to a “credit card fee.” However, there was a sign stating a discount would be given for paying in cash—not a warning that a 20% surcharge would be added for card payments. That’s incredibly misleading and deceptive.

The younger employee was especially inappropriate—raising her voice, being confrontational, and shouting across the store. I’ve truly never encountered someone so nasty working in customer service. Because of her behavior alone, I decided to leave without purchasing anything.

This place is running a shady operation, and I will be filing a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Charging undisclosed fees and then treating customers with such blatant disrespect is unacceptable. This business should absolutely be...

Don’t buy a board from this place, I dropped almost $700 on what I thought was a brand new board but turns out it was used, to top it off. The FIRST DAY I took it in the water it cracked. I went back out to Montauk to see what they would do but they basically said it’s not their problem anymore. I got it fixed but it cracked again in the same spot (first time back in the water), after 2 more fixes it still cracks when I bring it in the water. These people also own Sunset Surf Shack so don’t go there either.
