The food was pretty good. I truly enjoyed my chicken sandwich-great flavor. The other two people I was with also liked the taste of their food. The pickles tasted awful though. Something was definitely wrong with them because they tasted like chemicals (and I love pickles).
Aside from the taste, the food did not come as we had ordered it: my husband's burger came with toppings that he specifically requested to be left off and my sandwich did not come with the toppings I had ordered. They also were not willing to substitute the fries for a side of vegetables, even with an upcharge. So I agreed to pay full price ($6) for a side a vegetables and they never came.
Finally, the service was awful. It was not busy at all, in fact the server spent most of his time watching a soccer game on the television. We had to ask twice for lemon for our water. They give you tiny water glasses which I drank almost immediately because it was a hot summer day. My glass proceeded to sit empty for the majority of the time we were there. The server filled it onced when the food came out. I finally was able to get his attention to ask for more water after o had finished my meal and he poured luke warm water in my glass. He never came to check on us once the foof came out and so my husband was not able to request more ketchup for his burger and fries. The chef did a great job, but the service ruined...
Read moreI stopped by yesterday to pick up a to go order for two lobster rolls with fries. I placed the order at the bar with one woman. I told her that I’d be back shortly while the kitchen prepared the order. When I returned, another woman was there to accept my payment. I asked her if they accepted Apple Pay. She said yes. She was a mature woman with blonde hair. She had the audacity to manually add a 20% gratuity to my bill on the machine. She did it very quickly. I am thinking she was hoping that I didn’t notice. But I pay attention. So, while she stared at me when she gave me the machine to tap my phone for Apple Pay, I then manually re-entered “0” percent for the tip. And THEN I paid. How dare she! She stared hard at the machine when I did that. I have a feeling that I am not the only person that she does this too. So to everyone paying with Apple Pay, please pay attention at these restaurants! I have no problem tipping when someone provides me with a service, especially when they are my waitress while I am dining, provide me with excellent service, and clean up after me. But NOT when I am picking up a carton of food to go and she wasn’t even the person who took my order. Lastly, after all of that, the lobster was flavorless and didn’t even taste fresh. It tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for too many days and I was soooo disappointed. Even my husband was...
Read moreThis restaurant is located kind of in an odd spot (upstairs of a donut store) and on the west side of town. We visited on a Saturday night around 5:30p and there was no one in the restaurant. As we were sitting inside in the AC, a few more parties came.
All the work staff was very nice and attentive the entire duration of our visit. Right away brought us a pitcher of tap water and glasses. When we finished that pitcher, not even a minute later, a new and cold fresh pitcher arrived.
We ordered the crispy calamari to start, which is served with a Thai sauce and a marinara sauce. The calamari was so tasty and the Thai sauce.. yum! We could’ve licked that Thai sauce clean.
We ordered the cold lobster roll (which on the menu is named something different) and it comes with chips. The chips were actually fries, but these were the best French fries I think we’ve ever had. Thin and crispy and flavorful. I like to describe the fries like the McDonald’s kind, but gourmet! Also ordered the gooey lobster melt, with was practically a lobster grilled cheese. Wasn’t expecting that but also didn’t hate it, but the three types of cheese really did the sandwich so well.
Like mentioned before, all the staff was very attentive and caring, and would recommend this place over...
